Is this still only a transfer rumour or is it not now Spurs talk?

I hope it comes off but I fully expect Scudamore to get himself over to the Emirates just so he can give us the bad news from the Arsenal pitch, he has form trust me.

Not sure why there's negativity on him for £8m we'll get that money back on any of the surplus midfielders that so many SC'ers want to get rid of.

Then Dan Levy should 'sue his ass', sue it to hell:whistle:

I see some of the media are questioning the "transfer", was it/wasnt it done in time?.
Wonder which premier club will be the first to moan if it goes threough?.

I so hope we can get him. Remember what happened to Sneijder after RM...

Btw...Teemu to Ajax...BMJ wanted him:grin:

Dude he was one of the stars of the WC helping Holland to the final. He was also one of Madrid's better players last season.

For £8m we will never look like dicks.

I think calling him one fo the "stars of the world cup" is a bit revisionist. He wasn't great, but then Sneijder plays in his favoured position.

I think nobody can doubt VDV's quality. He may well have not had the limelight he was once afforded in an overcrowded hyped up allstars team like Real Madrid, but for me, he will be the first trully world class (at the time of signing) player we have signed in donkeys years.

Which is a step up IMO.

Sky Sports News understands Tottenham missed the 6pm deadline to finalise the signing of Rafael van der Vaart and have asked the Premier League for special dispensation to confirm the deal.

Not counting chickens but I think they must be pretty confident for both Harry and VDV to have given the positive interviews they did

thats what one of the ITK said last night, they would either say yes, no, or comeback with proof. seems its the latter, lets hope we have some

I'm not ITK bashing, but is it really 'in the know' to suggest the FA might either say yes or no?!

I think VDV will be a class act. Having been witness to Stoke and Wolves at home last year and Wigan last weekend, I think he is the prefect signing to unlock those types of games.
