You know what to do.
You know what to do.
You know Chadli assisted the goal, right? The sooner we rid of Chadli and Lamela the better. Both are awful players and offer nothing.
Shit Spurs, we're not gonna do much this season.
Excellent post - completely agree (saves me trying to write my own post on my phone)Lloris: What little he had to do, he did well. A couple of seemingly eccentric moments coming off his line but I never worry in that situation, he gets it right 99/100 times.
Walker: Really good performance in my opinion. Can't remember him being beaten and looked good going forward with one superb pass to Chadli and also the best cross of the match.
Alderweireld: Played well and never seemed particularly troubled. Some nice balls forward to switch play too.
Vertonghen: I think he should have been tighter to Mahrez for the equaliser, while throughout the match he always seemed likely to err in some way. Doesn't instil confidence at the moment.
Davies: An okay game, remembering that he had no protection at all form Chadli and was up against a brilliant and on form winger in Mahrez. Tried to support the attack but he just doesn't seem able to bomb up.
Mason: Industrious to the end and a few decent passes. Took responsibility and put his foot on the ball regularly but apart from a few moments he didn't really affect the game.
Dier: Not a midfielder. Some good play defensively, and liked that he took a booking without hesitation when Vardy was on the run, but when on the ball he's never going to do anything with it. Not his fault of course, he is a very good centre back and should be used as such.
Dembele: I feel he was our best player. He took hold of the ball and frightened the hell out of them with his running, kept a hold of it while others pushed up, constantly fought for it and showed strength and never hid. Had two cracking shots as well.
Lamela: Who here, being honest, can say that they still have hope for this guy? Not me. I've tried, I've made every excuse for him possible. Again today he did nothing of any use. Weak, slow to react to anything and to boot his hair is fucking stupid. Alli was more purposeful in his cameo than Lamela the entire previous 65 minutes. Honest to god, if today I'd watched my first ever game of football, I'd have thought Albrighton was the £30m player, not Lamela (if it had to be one of them that is)
Chadli: The records will show that he got an assist today. It was a good cross and for that it should be commended. Sadly, every other time he had the ball he decided to shoot from stupid angles and ridiculous distances. He also exposed Davies for 90 minutes when his flank contained their most dangerous player (and when I watch the highlights I won't be shocked if Chadli was just stood watching as Mahrez strolled into our box. Selfish and lazy today. Such a shame, because he's a magnificent physical specimen and a truly gifted player, but I lost count of the amount of times I swore at him today.
Kane: I could have sworn at him loads as well today had he not generated the amount of goodwill he already has. Not for the same reasons as Chadli though, more because he needs to be more aware. I don't think he's selfish, I think he's just frustrated at how little is being created for him so is trying to do too much every time he sees the ball. To be fair, he has a point, outside of Dembele he's the only one that looked like doing anything today, and that's with being triple marked. The end result, our goal came because of his tenacity, drive, strength and skill to bulldoze forward, play a lovely ball to Chadli and thank fuck Chadli crossed. If Chadli had shot I would have got in the car, driven to Leicester and cold blooded murdered him! Then, after all Kane's good play, he proceeds to barge Wes Morgan (ergo, an absolute UNIT) out of the way so that the ball can reach our young eventual goalscorer.
Alli: Is he the finished article? No, not yet. He will overdo it sometimes, hit an overly ambitious pass, try to beat too many people. However, unlike the man he replaced, he is a footballer and a damn good one. He, Kane and Mason epitomise the fact that so much of this game is played in the mind, because they play with drive, determination and desire. We improved when he came on, he scored a good goal, and I'd happily start him next week for his attitude along.
Carroll: Did not overly affect the game but showed that he takes a good set piece.
Bentaleb: Very little time to do anything positive, negative or neutral.
Walker: Really good performance in my opinion. Can't remember him being beaten and looked good going forward with one superb pass to Chadli and also the best cross of the match.
Chadli- 4 Did fuck all as usual.
Lamela- 5 Tried, but was crap at trying.
