Thought Kane upped his game in the second half.

He's desperately in need of others to take the pressure off.

It will be unforgivable if Levy fails to address this come Sept 2nd.

Glad to see the forum not blindly praising Kane as usual, it's good to say how it really is, regardless of his status amongst the fan base.

Didn't have much to go by today and doesn't have quality around him but still maintain my initial and early views (even throughout his break out season) he just isn't that good.

When I say that good, I'm talking the elite bracket of strikers... I don't feel he will ever come near being as quality as the likes of Suarez or Aguero.

Definitely needs competition and someone to bring on for him given his condition and lack of goals at the moment, Berahino seems a great option.

Lloris.. If I was him I'd be telling my agent.. I'm a goalkeeper get me out of here..7
Walker.. Needs to concentrate & not be looking at his feet when a game is going on, mixed bag performance & best of back 4, which wouldn't be hard 6
Toby.. We needed to sign a leader at the back & he isn't the answer.. our transfer philosophy is flawed.. Very Average.. 5
Jan.. Played like a drunk in a park..3
Davies.. Could always star in Footballers on Ice.. Amazed he's a Pl footballer..3
Dier.. Not great..5
Mason.. he tried but was poor...4
Dembele.. Probably the best of outfield players & at the least he was trying to make something happen in final third..6
Lamela.. Far from the worst out there but still not enough to have any influence on the game..5
Chadli.. Really bad so far this season.. just disappears from games..3
Kane.. Looks really tired but as always he gives everything, No service..6

Really worrying performance.. we have some good young players but no-one on the pitch to show leadership & help them improve, We needed to sign finished articles who could pass on there experience to the younger players.. instead it's an always tomorrow philosophy we have

Competition is absolutely vital to keep Kane on his toes and we need to manage him well this season as he cannot be expected to lead the line for 40-50 odd games this season.

That being said, with all the praise lavished upon him, he's created certain standards he needs to match and hopefully surpass so he will at some stage rightly or wrongly need to cope with criticism coming his way.

Lloris - 5 - never had much to do all game
Walker - 6 - made some good attacking runs, never really challenged defensively, needs to make more runs off the ball
Toby - 6.5 - best of the defenders today
Jan - 5.5 - could have given up a penalty, should have closed down on the goal
Davies - 5.5 - really could use Rose's attacking mindset
Dier - 6 - was fine enough defensively, a little slow on pushing the ball forward
Mason - 6.5 - good energy, perhaps a bit ambitious on a couple of shots
Dembele - 6 - holds/shields/dribbles well enough, does not attack enough to play in that position - we have too many CM2s
Lamela - 4 - just has not figured it out this year - tries alot, but I am not sure what he is trying.
Chadli - 5 good moments like the assist, went missing for parts of the match - not his fault,we need someone with attacking pace
Kane - 5.5 - got a bit too greedy at times, but had a few nice passes. He is snatching at the bit to put one in.

Alli - 7 - I think he needs some game time, we miss not having the Europa qualifiers
Carroll - 5 meh
Bentaleb - net

Dembele (again) probably the better player.
Kane is gonna be an outstanding player for Spurs (if we manage to keep on to him) and for England.
A very young squad needs experience player or 2.

vertongen was very bad today. His form atm is very worrying.

Dembele looked like the only spurs player worth watching. Even a tired dembele gives us more than carrol, surely - wtf Pochetino?

Kane was falling all over the place today. His legs looks heavy and tired. As for Dier, oh dear, looks too flat footed and clumsy to direct play from midfield.

Bin Lamela and Chadli, buy some genuine pace. Please.

It pains me to see someone like Montero at Swansea, driving at and terrorising defenders.

I want that back. Badly.

Lloris 7 - Didn't have that much to do really.

Walker 3 - Turned inside out as usual in defence, a constant 89 minute Brain-fart going forward. (I allowed 1 minute for the cross he put in from deep which we nearly scored - but why isn't he doing it ALL THE TIME)
Toby 7 - Looks for attacking possibilities on the ball - the ONLY defender playing that does.
Jan 4 - I'm starting to think he's the problem with our defence organisation.
Davies 5 - Gave away too many free kicks, got done too many times, passes back ALL THE TIME.
Dier 6 - Played well enough but he wants to play CB - Although I would say he's only 1 of a few players that gets Pochettino's system.
Mason 7 - Played with his head up, looks for attacking possibility and plays with tenacity. I was a big critic of his last season but he's impressed me the last 2 games.
Dembele 7 - Had a proper go at them and made the opposition have to think about leaving Kane for a minute. Still has no idea what he wants to do with the ball when he gets himself into great positions.
Lamela 5 - He's just not built for the English game. Pressed hard throughout.
Chadli 5 - Just not aggressive enough, has the ability and physicality to bully opponents - doesn't have the mentality.
Kane 6 - Had the entire Leicester defence all over him, because there's just not enough threat from our attacking midfielders for defences to worry about them. Needs a better team behind him.

MOTM - Mason.

This is why moneyball doesn't work in football, cause anyone watching that can see who had the better game out of the two of them

I think Dembele was better than Lamela (who was poor again) but I disagree with those who say Dembele was MOTM and Lamela was our worst player. What I posted doesn't say much, but I think it proves the gap between the quality of their performances wasn't that big.

Very poor first half. We are so slow and pedestrian. Another clean sheet (not)

I keep reading let's get rid of so and so and this guy blah Blah. Our squad is paper thin as it is, we seem to struggle getting the players we need in, why the obsession with selling players? Like not having these guys will make us better. Utter nonesense.

Anyway, tough crowd today, quite a few harsh ratings. We weren't great, but most players did a job. What I find worrying is the lack of creativity in the side, we are so predictable. Dembele looked our most threatening player by some distance, so he gets MOTM. alli looked good when he came on. I can't criticise Kane because he was marked out of the game and the team just couldn't find him, we needed someone that could pull off that unpredictable pass that could give Kane something to work with. Here's hoping we add some more pace to the side in the transfer window. Some game changing subs would be nice.

So you hopefully hope those hopes will give us hope?

Also the numbers are so low. I mean, 'dispossessed three times'? Without a huge amount of comparable evidence from a longer period of time how can that possibly be deemed interesting?!

I swear some of these people are just forcing interest to try to sound like some sort of football intellectual...
