And everyone down south are Southern Softies??? (as referred to by the northerners) .... not that I'm that judgemental.

Every town/city has its idiots ... may be you should judge them as your way off the mark.

Unfortunately I've spent too much time round that shit hole to know precisely what it is and the morons it houses. Plus you're pretty close and judging by your posts, well!

Ok, I didn't know you hadn't seen it. I've managed to download it and am watching it again. If you want a link, I can PM you.

No worries my friend I'll pass on that, I'm happy to re-watch beating the scum 3-2 which is permanently saved on my skybox

I'm not sure you can judge a vast swathe of people under one banner mate.

Without going ridiculously direct with Peter Crouch (which pays very limited dividends anyway), the answer was better off the ball movement, a higher tempo and a better final ball.

Maybe when a home team plays so defensively that's not easy to do especially after losing one of our main attacking weapons.

Geordies are as bad!

Their support for years has demonstrated how thick they are!

I actually know a couple of Geordies who are also decent human beings, shocking though that is. I honestly cannot think of a Gooner who I call my friend, or even a regular acquaintance.

Well this is what we have to do if we want to be CL regulars.

No its not, a draw at Newcastle isn't a disaster!

We are a team that's still maturing and growing, results like this aren't terrible and I like the fact we kept going to the end and ground out a draw when all seemed lost.

Living where you do I'm surprised, I actually employ 2!

For the record, even their manager said after the game our passing and movement was superb and knocked the confidence out of them.

I've only seen FF, and can't be arsed to watch it all, but I'm guessing from what I have seen and what people have said, that it was a similar story to last week in many ways. A pretty decent performance, controlled the game - which I like to see personally - without much cutting edge in the final third.

I think it is one of our biggest problems. We have - when compared to our top 4 rivals - weak striker options, but we also lack intelligence in the final third too. Lennon and Bale are both pretty direct, get it, sprint forward and hit a hopeful cross which 9/10 is a waste. Look at what Lennon did last minute yesterday, great position three guys waiting for cross, and he wastes it.

Modric has been great in cm lately, but I'd still love to see his brain being used in the final third. Maybe Pienaar could go into CM to compensate ??

It's not even deliberate, though subconsciously I might actively avoid them. I went to school with loads, grew up going out in Islington and have worked with a few, but socially they just don't exist to me. I can't really explain it, there just aren't any in my life.

Lennon was wasteful all day long, BC. He's just not alert enough to spot good runs. He's more likely to hold onto it and end up taking someone on when all that was required in the first place was a simple pass. He had a great chance to play JJ in, for example, when he managed to get in behind Enrique. Didn't spot the run, took the cb on, beat Enrique a second time and his attempt at a cross just struck a Newcastle defender's leg.

I really dont see why Crouch is a target.

I mean if he does manage to trap the ball, he doesn't really use it properly, his disposal if generally poor and if he tries to beat a player he more often that not gets his pocket picked.

For a striker, he really doesn't strike very well.

Having said that, I do think he is an assett, as VDV has found out, but I think thats more due to VDVs anticipation rather than Crouchie's disposal. Assuming we had 2 or 3 real strikers he'd be a useful back at as a 4th striker that you'd bring on with 10 to go the break a deadlock.

Some will obviously disagree but thats the way I see him, to play him as a lone striker doesn't make sense, he's more a hole player (as harry calls it) where he can assist.
