I think he was only "sloppy" once - most of the time he was inviting the Chelsea players to close him down to frustrate them. Risky, for sure, but also intentional rather than sloppy.
Fair enough buddy. I love Romero and I thought he wasn't bad, but I don't get people calling him motm. I thought he was average today, considering the standards I personally hold him to.

Romero wasn't bad, but I thought he was sloppy today. I remember a few times his dawdling could of been troublesome. Royal was the bollocks. The man has some engine.
he was immense, not sure what you was watching

Gave it to Skipp because that was his first Spurs goal. Performance wise though I’d have to say Romero just edged him. He was immense at the back today.

Richarlison is out of form but his great pressing energy means he makes a good contribution.

When Sonny is out of form that's a bigger problem. We can do ok with one half presser in Kane and 2 dynamic chasers in Kulu and Richie...but 2 half pressers (Kane, Son) leaves us too open imo.

Tricky politics for management.

Forster very solid and couple of important interventions, calm in possession and back three look much better in possession.

Romero was outstanding and apart from one little lapse was terrific in possession. Lenglet and Dier, both good and the three of them nipping in to kill Chelsea possession in midfield was effective.

Emerson another top effort, great engine and commitment getting up and down. Davies put in a solid effort and got into good positions where he needed a bit more quality.

Skipp was everywhere, a pain in the arse for Chelsea and good moving the ball, the goal just an outstanding strike which he earned by being more tenacious. PEH contributed well in not letting chelsea get any momentum in midfield.

Richarlison and Kulu both put in good performances and pressed hard letting Kane have a bit of an armchair ride. While it’s hard to see where a goal for Richarlison will come from we look so much stronger with him working that left side, had a part in both goals. Kane clinical when he needed to be, not his most energetic effort and his strike partners put in a lot of yards for him.

Liked the Porro sub for Kulu rather than a formulaic swap with Moura, Son good contribution for corner not much more.

Stellini, what can you say doing a terrific job covering for Conte.

Thank goodness we didn’t get Potter, his team look shapeless and lack any cutting edge, playing Sterling over Mudruk doesn’t look smart.

When Romero nutmegged the Chelsea forward (don’t remember who, don’t care) to get out of the press late in the second half, the elderly gentleman sitting behind shouted so loudly I feared for his heart. Still he would have died happy.

Edit: It was Havertz.

Went for Skippy but could easily have been Romero, Emerson (again!) or Kulu.

What a way to score your first goal, and what a game to do it in.

Skippy was MOTM....what a hit
Call out to Royal again, Cuti and Richy
Forster looked pretty assured in what he did too

I felt there was little to choose between Skipp and Romero, with Royal not far behind. I went for Romero as I felt he just shaded it and loved his aggressive but fair tackling, which probably frightened the life out of Havertz.

Very pleased for Skipp smacking the ball into the net.

If that was an average performance I cannot wait to see him have a decent game.
