The first game this season where we had control of the game for 90 minutes. I am going for team effort

That second 45 is one of the most satisfying halves of football I can remember.
We were excellent throughout, minus two sloppy errors leading to Everton chances.

Every single player was a solid 8-9 out of 10.
  • Bissouma‘s introduction freed up our play dramatically
  • Special mention to Doherty who was flawless
  • Bentancur covered a ridiculous amount of ground
  • Son’s touch was back to its best
  • Hojbjerg was imperious
  • Kane was back to his bullish self, and relieved to see him bury his first pen following a miss
  • Defence were all solid (but I do adore Romero when he‘s tearing around being a menace)

Motfh: Romero
Motsh: Bentancur

Bissouma excellent when he came on, the 3-5-2 gave us control.

Doherty, very good today

A bit slow and cumbersome build up in the first half but a solid performance and 3 points.

So many good performances, but it’s just a pleasure and privelege to watch an on-form Kane at work. Every movement and touch has a purpose and is carried out flawlessly.

Hard to pick one player, so many played well but i feel bissouma coming on freed up our better players to raise their game.

Hard to pick a standout as Bissouma and the whole starting XI bar Richarlison were great. Kane, Romero, the CM 2 probably above the rest, but a true team effort.

What's the general opinion on Perisic today?

One of his better games so far. Good energy and had the beating of Coleman and Iwobi at times. Also, was very clever to ghost into the box and cause issues. Definitely getting to his best and I'm sure Conte will be happy with what he saw from him.

Yep. Will be good to get a 90 in the tank. Impressed with the energy he still had so late in the game aswell.

Romero was a thing of legend today. Why was mine only the 5th vote for him? Kane close 2nd. 3rd Bentancur (but i put him most games so he can take a back seat today).

Most games I find that Bentancur is our outstanding player and deservedly my MOM. Today though he had a lot competition, Romero, Son, Hojbjerg, Doherty and Perisic were all very good and Bissouma took us to another level when he came on.
Nevertheless I’m giving MOM to Kane who I thought had his best game for us this season. He’s so much more a world class player when he’s this involved and working hard for the team all over the pitch. If he keeps this up and Son has really finally turned the corner form wise we are going to be much more enjoyable to watch and a real threat against any team.

We absolutely anihilated them in midfield when Bissouma came on. Hojbjerg and Bentancur had the shackles off and got forward repeatedly causing havoc and made us a whole lot more threatening than 3 up top. My MOM was Kane in what was a very good all round performance.
