Hugo - 8 - made some really important saves again and dealt with a fair but in the air. Neither goal anything to do with him.

Serge - 4 - really poor at both ends of the pitch. Gave the ball away far too many times.

Toby/Dier/Rodon - 6 - much of a muchness really. No major errors that cost us for once but looked shaky throughout.

Reggie - 4 - see Serge.

PEH - 4 - poor game, hampered massively by a silly yellow card early on. Poor pass to him from Serge but PEH needs to be cleverer there.

Sissoko - 3 - shocking. The one thing he could and did do was run around a lot, get stuck in and be physical. Now he has decided to stop doing that it is like playing with 10 men.

Tanguy - 5 - poor. Clumsy on the ball from the outset but at least he still tried to get on the ball.

Sonny - 4 - so lightweight and doesn't hold the ball at all which continually invites pressure. Rinsed Keane once but meed to see more of that.

Kane - 8 - 2 chances, 2 goals. Not great apart from that but he's Harry. He's either running a game or not in it but scores a couple. He. Is. Us.

Lamela - 7 - works hard, looks to go forward and adds urgency. Makes a difference. Just wish his decision making was better.

Lucas - 6 - similar to Lamela but a little less quality tonight.

Dele - Net

Jose - 4 - didn't agree with the line up. 8 defensive minded players. Sissoko. Dier. But he can't take all the blame due to the players being poor on the night (although maybe that is him?!).

Spot on. The only thing I'd disagree with is Lucas' 6. He was on a par with the 4's.

7 defensive players started that game. We were relying on sissoko and PEH to bring the ball out and feed it to the attacking defenders. Today showed that doesn't work.

We created very few chances and both of our goals came from piss poor crosses that the everyone defence failed to deal with.

I can't see any positives in this game other than Alli got another 31 seconds under his belt.

I just cannot fathom how we can have players like Kane, Son, Bale, Dele, Ndombele, Lo Celso etc. and have zero creativity.

Kane MOTM by a long shot
Lloris kept us in it with couple of quality saves
Rodon steady and solid
And then it deteriorates quickly.
PEH and Sissoko poor and as a combo incomprehensible
Reguilon and Dier games to forget
Son was just irrelevant
Jose what can you say, tactical genius setting us up with a back 5 unfortunately they saw it coming and didn’t play a striker.

Sissoko was the worst. All he offers is hard work so he has no excuse

Harry scored two super opportunist goals, but he gave the ball away as much any of the other players - But I don't understand the 8 and 9 ratings.

That was the biggest load of shit I’ve seen all season.
no clear game plan
Change the starting eleven again
Change the formation to hide our weaknesses but succeed in only hiding our strengths
Only positives to take from this were to confirm that we have two world class players and a lot of filler.
Rodon- lots of potential
Son gone off the boil
Hojbjerg tackles but can’t pass. Wavy arms
Alderweireld-kicks it off a lot of the time for a passing cb
Reguilon not much defending going on
Aurier STILL trying skills in the defensive third.
Ndombele- spent a lot of time throwing his head back after making error after error.
Dier- no, me neither
Sissoko- I’m starting to think this is what a jobsworth midfielder looks like. Does the bare minimum on the ball
Lamela. A dribble, a foul etc
Lucas. So so fast
Dele ffs (credit where it’s due)

Jose- just sat there all night looking lost. Donkey

To top it off Kane is injured just before the cup final. As much as it might fuck our season over at least he won’t be leaving.
And there it is in a nutshell.
Spurs: find the positive out of a pile of shit

Just meh with PEH at the moment last 3 games he’s been awful. Appreciate he’s played loads of football but his touch and passing are way off what’s required.

Kane, Lloris, Lamela were good. I think the back 3 were ok with little protection from midfield. Fullbacks were poor as was Son and Ndombele. Think PL teams have worked out Ndombele his dribbling and working in tight spaces less effective now.

Ho hum 7 games to go!

We had 7 defenders/defensive midfielders plus lloris, yet they cut through us with ease.
It seemed like total chaos in our box at times, and Rodon is none too subtle about holding player's shirts.
Vertonghen was a master at this.
I don't think they deserve as much credit as they are getting.

How Kane was totally prepared for his 2 chances is baffling to me - he just willed the ball to fall to him. motm.
The Dier Moura LB combination was an interesting thing, with Dier the wing back at times.
Dier's main strength was always the ability to switch positions to good effect, and this was no different.
He gets an extra point or 2 for his flexibility.
Lloris was excellent.

I wish we didnt have a cup final. I just cant bear the thought of being thrashed by City and made to look like school children in a cup final.

MoM - Lloris. Made a couple of very good saves, good handling and where possible he looked to get the ball forward quickly.

Good - Kane. He scored 2 very well taken goals but was poor in possession and gave the ball away numerous times.

Above average - Rodon. Composed throughout.

Average - Alderweireld and Dier. They both made a couple of good blocks but Toby completely lost Richarlison who should have scored whereas Dier on several occasions gave the ball away, on one occasion Everton nearly scored.

Below average - Hojbjerg, Sissoko. Both poor in possession, needlessly gave the ball away and were sloths when it came to getting the ball forward.

Poor - Ndombele, Reguilon, Aurier, Son. Tanguy - showed for the ball a lot but spent most of the game outwitting himself with his own skill. Reggi and Aurier offered nothing going forward and were poor defensively. Son, barring turning Keane inside out once he did nothing else all game.

Mostly we had a load of Captain Chiefwanks playing for us.

Kane, Lloris, Rodon, fine. Toby decent - how he doesn’t start is literally beyond me.
The rest were a load of masturbators.

Moronho gets a big fat nil from me today.

Levy gets a zero for making a string of decisions that have led us to a place of total identity loss.

Lamela gets a 6.5.
Moura was largely forgettable.
