So glad there is no overreaction on here...as if our fans are fickle.

Most of the comments are embarrasing...if the new stadium is full of fans like this it will be a joy.

The same players that are being canned are the same players that thrashed RM ,Liverpool and Dortmund just weeks ago.and everyone thought we were world beaters.

Keep it real when we win and when we lose.
De bruyne just gave our midfield an absolute lesson. He was able to do eriksen's, dembele's and winks' job yesterday. The guy dominated and made the others look poor.

No shame in that as I think we could be looking at a future world player in the Belgian.

I mean the guy went toe to toe with dembele on several occasions and came out on top. At the time I thought dembele was passed it, but on reflection he was just bettered by the stronger player.

I agree KDB was superb yesterday, but there is no doubt in my mind we just gave him far to much time and space.

Don't get me wrong, he will always find space, but the lack of closing down as a team yesterday was worrying to say the least. Wanyama can't come back soon enough.

So much bollocks posted here. We were OK. No one played dreadfully. For over an hour, we made a game of it, without playing negative football.

Trippier made a few unforced errors and was tortured systematically by Sané's pace. Other than that, it was all the relentless Man City press making us cough up the ball and making everyone look as if they were thinking and passing too slowly. Which they were.

They're just way better than everyone else. Including us. Blaming individual players for a loss such as this is just infantile. They are a better team, with superior, more expensive players, better organised by a more experienced manager.

We are where we are: a very good team. Man City are on their way to break records by the handful.

Dier, Trippier and Alli were 'ok', were they Dave?

I think that's the biggest load of bollocks I've seen in this thread so far.

Best team in possibly Europe at their own gaff.
Big task we were not up to though we made a stab at it for an hour.
Donated a goal
Then their quality eventually wore us down.and showed
With a full side and off-formers on form
it would have been more even but not necessarily successful.
They had players missing too.
Missed a penalty and it could have been more.

Led all the way..............nobody
In with a chance .......... same
Showed briefly...............Verts, Lamela
Boxed in on the rails......Lloris, Rose, Son, Harry K, Eriksen
Coughing fit...................Dembele Winks, Dier, Dele
Left at the post...............Trippier.

Poch...............................Not in the prize ring today. Wrong horse for the wrong race.

Shout out for Sissoko who tried to revive the spirit of Stamford Bridge 2016
on for 7minutes, got a yellow card.
Out-fouled opponents once again but it doesn't prove anything
other than desperation. (That's you Dele and Kane)
....

We have got to distinguish between having a poor game
or being saddled (sorry) with tasks beyond our powers
and being 'shit'

Don't forget:
Ones man's shit is another man's organic fertiliser.

one good game 8 weeks ago?

We Topped our CL group with the most points in europe, and were 4th before yesterday....we did ALL that with ''one good game 8 weeks ago.''... wow is that all it takes.

We have been poor in the league. 2pts from 18 before the last 2 wins, which I believe is now 2 wins in 9.

Wanyama and Alderweireld are gaping holes in our team. Playing this season without your first choice midfield pairing from last season, and let's be honest it was probably the best in the league, is pretty telling.

And add Sanchez.

If we had him yesterday it would have been 3-5-2 and Trippier less exposed. We are having a nightmare with players unavailable at the moment

Mate what can I say thankfully you didn't watch the same game as the rest of us yesterday as otherwise I'm lost for words on your post but I guess you mean well.

David I like you but this time mate you are talking bollocks on this one as we were never in this game which if it wasn't for lloris would have been by half-time.

Poch set the tone for that. As I said before Brighton, he had to go with Aurier v Sane. Leaving Son up was brave but what's the point when we instead see an attempt at possession football on our own bye line, which is something Dier can't manage against a quick press?

Those lauding Lloris also need to wake up. He should have done better with the second and fourth.

Those saying City are great bla bla , some of our players weren't that bad miss the point. That should have been seven and was almost a carbon copy of the couldn't care less pre season friendly v that lot, who don't smash everyone. Only tactically naive, disorganized, unmotivated teams with players who expect to play CL without dying to earn it in the trenches.

They embarrassed the Club.

That's not an excuse for the scathing comments against our players.

We're not as good as we think we are when beating RM etc or as bad just because we were poor yesterday.

That's all i'm saying, we are not great this season, but its not all doom and gloom.

I feel the manager was trying to play Billy big bollocks yesterday. It was no time to be trying to play fancy Dan football in shitty weather conditions against a rampant team. Poch just wanted to be known as the manager who was brave enough to take on citeh on their terms and triumph. Good management is about pragmatism at the right times and Poch lacks this.

So your all for slating a group of players that have been superb the last 3 seasons, and in parts this season, but are playing poorly at the moment .

I watched the game and know it was nowhere near good enough, but the comments on this thread are way ott.

Thanks for your concern though.

Don't recall myself saying let's slate the players I think you are making that bit up, but surely every player will need to look at themselves plus the manager and say not just yesterday but this season has not been good enough they have all dropped off a bit.
So rightly fans have every right to question it along with the gushing praise they got for doing well in the CL games it's called taking the rough with the smooth but again I thank you for the concern you showed I took a bit from it.

Rough with the smooth, but only if you show up after a loss though ...

If we win is this the same?

My Post was attacking fans who were slating our players and you disiked it and quoted i mean well, so i presumed you didn't agree with me defending the players being slated....don't think i made anything up there.

Fans have the right ofc to question players, as do fans have the right to defend players from OTT remarks which is what i was doing

Have a good day i'm done.

It’s never been more obvious than in this match but we need a new 6. Winks isn’t ready yet and Moose is on his last legs. We were destroyed in the midfield. Alderweireld & Sanchez being out with Wanyama still hurt didn’t help either.

I never want to see Trippier start in a match like this vs. a wing he can’t physically handle ever again. Worst player on the pitch by a mile.

Sssssh, he's one of the kids you know. We are going to take on the world with a team of 18 year olds any day now :D

I don't condone the scathing comments as per my other comments. I absolutely agree with you is not doom and gloom, however, they should have more fight in them than what they showed

I think Rose and Dele are gone in the summer for sure, which explains Dele's poor form. We don't press anymore. Not enjoying watching us this season.

A lot of uncharitable comments on here. I thought we played a better team and could not compete over the 90 mins.

I think the mistakes have to placed at Poch's door. He fucked up big time. Playing a high line against City. WTF is that? You can show your cojones by setting the team up smarter to counter attack. Bad decisions all game with subs made to late to change the game. He is still poor with his in game changes.

This game exposed our CM. We've got a young Winks who learnt a lesson in this encounter. You're not there yet lad. There;s a long way to go before you can call yourself a PL footballer. Take a lesson from this game and move on. You are good enough to be a future champion but your still learning. Moussa is showing that he is just not fit. He may be carrying an injury as well. But not having a full pre season is showing up now. They could not cope with City's movement. The lack of depth in the squad is there for all to see. As for these arm chair jockeys who think we have youth squad full of world champions who can step up tomorrow and fill in places. They need to be able to play in a game like this and boss it. So lay off the fucking fantasies for now please.

I dont want to get into the Trips discussion needless to say, anyone who thinks he is a match for Kyle has shit for brains. Poch and Levy got fucked over with that deal. I dont care what some 'pundits' say on here. We'd be better with him in the side.

I think Eriksen, Son and Alli are taking a lot of stick and that is unfair. They were off the boil, Shit happens. There are days when you have to accept you were not good enough.

I thought Kane, Lamela, Rose, Verts were all good for what was a 5 for the team as a whole. Love Lamela's fight and if only the rest of the team had 5% of it we'd be a better side for it. Lloris needs coaching on his distribution. Its fucking awful shite and I am getting tired of watching it week in week out.

As for all this talk about head turning. These are Spurs players and I have seen nothing to suggest that. You lot need to pull your fucking heads in over those comments. That's vile, nasty shit and we are better than that.
