Lloris 5 - Could have saved their goal
Walker 5 - A bit sloppy but a few nice moves
Caulker 6
Dawson 7 - Had a good game and came very close with the header
Vertonghen 6 - That shot hit my window
Parker 5 - He's added a new move to his repertoire (or at least I haven't seen it) the quarter pirouette
Huddlestone 5- If he's going to play his passes and set pieces must be perfect
Lennon 6
Bale 6 - Good pass for the second goal but far too greedy today
Dempsey 8 - My man of the match, should have scored 2 but had a good game
Adebayor 7 Quiet for quite a while, Stoke pissed him off so he scored

Defoe
Dembele 6
Sigurdsson

MOTM - Dempsey

Lloris 6 - Bit nervy, conceded from another set piece which he couldn't really help and did what he had to well though
Walker 7 - Good energy, work rate, composed on the ball and tried to make himself available for the ball as often as possible
Dawson 7 - Did what he had to, attempted less hollywood passes and had a good effort at goal
Caulker 6 - Had little to do, didn't really do anything wrong
Vertonghen 8 - Good work rate, was a threat down the left and got Adam sent off
Parker 8 - Some incisive through balls, still made a few stray passes but it was the best I've seen him play in quite a while
Huddlestone 6 - Controlled the middle of the park well pinging off passes to everyone, but set pieces were awful
Lennon 6 - Didn't get involved much, first half was anonymous and though the second was an improvement he didn't make a significant contribution
Dempsey 9 - Great goal and an assist (in a position where he might previously have shot). Wasn't clumsy like usual and helped a lot of passages of play
Bale 8 - Involved in every move, patient, and didn't try to shoot when it could have been tempting on quite a few occasions. Good set pieces (except direct freekicks) and hassled Stoke to no end. Should have squared it for Sig at the end though
Adebayor 8 - Helped the play a lot of times, held up the ball well, didn't hide and got involved as much as possible then scored the winning goal

Dembele 7 - Looked sharp when he came on threading a great pass into Bale
Defoe N/A
Sigurdsson N/A

Fans 10 - In great voice, even when we went 1 down early on
AVB 9 - Good team selection and subs, but subs were made too late
Refs 9 - Got one or two wrong but this is about as good a performance as you can expect from a ref - wasn't effected by the crowd
Adam 0 - Twat

Our fans were amazing!! They kept the faith and kept singing all game. It definitely helped the players raise their energy.

Ref = 10

We saw what can happen a couple years back at Stoke City with Chris Foy if the referee does not take control of the game early on. He made it clear from the word go that he was not going to let Stoke kick at us all day and they would be booked properly if they did. Didn't succumb to the constant crowd pressure of penalty shouts and free kicks. If Kevin Friend was not the ref today and we were stuck with somebody like Clattenburg or Foy, we probably don't win.

Function over form.

The order of the day for both Stoke (every week) and us (today).

It's rare that you watch a match and find it impossible to name a starring performer but today's the day & I feel i'm gonna have to be a bit Shoot! magazine and give it to Dempsey for a goal and an assist; his goal being the one iconic moment of the game. He could have had more goals too and is exactly the type of player you need against Stoke, unlike say, er... Jermain Defoe who had 3 touches more than I did in his 15 minutes.

Still function = points and it's three in the bag and a souped up Wigan now need to do us a favour.
Credit the team today, for patience, and the manager for instilling the 'it will come' values that have served us so well in recent weeks. It's not over for us, unlike Charlie Adam's season.

Lloris 6 Bit flappy at the goal? Not a lot right or wrong
Vertonghen 6 Bit tired? Doesn't ever look content out on the left
Dawson 6 ?
Caulker 6 ?
Walker 7 Good energy and passion wins points from me in performances like this
Lennon 6 Better than last game
Huddlestone 6 Still recovering from that pre-match bong, but he's been OK recently, despite being the token boo-boy.
Parker 6 Just Parkerish
Bale 7 Tried a lot, had over 100 touches, which is super rare for a forward but little end product today, awol for goal
Dempsey 8 When we're bang average but win, he's often more average than the others SHOOT! STAR MAN
Adebayor 8 The Ade we thought we'd bought last summer, maybe Damaio has text him to say 'i'm coming'
Dembele 6 Adds composure in the middle
Defoe - There are rumours that he was on the pitch for 15 minutes but are unconfirmed.
Sigurdsson - Seals the deal by looking menacing

AVB: Good lad

Tony Pulis: A **** of the highest order IMO
Charlie Adam: You owed us that.

Bale 7 - Thought he would get the winner
Dempsey 8 - Fantastic strike and looked like another goal coming
Adebayor 7 - Sloppy control at times

Apart from that shocking free kick he gave Walters for falling on Walker next to our box I thought the ref was quality!

For that stupid freekick that Hudd got booked for I would fine him a weeks wages. Fucking insane when the player had nowhere to go, literally the only way they could threaten our goal

Yep, we all slate the refs (rightly so) when they are poor but today Kevin Friend was top drawer.

Defoe was the one who disappointed me most when he came on.

Anonymous for the first 5-10 mins, as in didn't even spot him anywhere near the ball...

Then when passage of play came near him, he was just hogging the left wing; brainless footballer... Can't wait to cash in on him in Summer.

Did he even touch the ball in 15-20 mins?
