Davies and Kane standout performers. Eriksen with a goal and an assist but not all that much else.

Poch hooked the players who were poorest out there and made the right subs. But next game Eriksen needs to start centrally.

Only Lloris played well imo

Kane didn't have a great game abit poor but pressed better than anyone else and everyone else was shitter. He was the best of a bad bunch

The AM 3 was terrible, they couldn't keep the ball and they pressed up. This meant that there was added pressure on the CM 2.

I personally think 4231 needs to stop with inverted wingers as walker never even had a chance to push up

The fullbacks were poor, I seen alot of people defend them but Bony kept finding space in between CB's and fullbacks

Agree with Kane and Eriksen.
Davies was good for most of the game, although I would give him some stick for the goal. Way to easy for Routledge to get free.

Also liked what I saw of Walker. His pace on the line has been sorely missed, and I like the way Lloris can kick the ball from goal kick up to Walker, who wins the header every time and starts an attack. A bit rusty, but will become extremely important for us. Lloris was also good, and Dembele and Stambo were great subs.

Mason our poorest performer today, imo, closely followed by Soldado and Lamela. He just didn't take the pace of the match at all.

The fullbacks were poor dude, I cant prove it at the moment, but once the game is on the net. Im going to put this shit to bed

Nobody had a good game imo bar lloris, performance was disgraceful

If I could i`d give my vote to Pochettino. Yet again his team have ground out an unlikely victory on guts alone. After being outplayed and battered for most of the match. Something not normally associated with Spurs. How many times in the past have we dominated teams for 90 minutes only to come away with nothing after collapsing like a bunch of wet pussies. I`m quite enjoying seeing the tables turned for once. In fact i`m fucking loving it.

Lloris 7 steady

Walker 7 good to have him back, grew into the game

Davies 7 steady and really improving

Fazio 5 makes me so nervous

Verts 6 ok....but took ages to realise leaving Fazio alone with Bony was madness

Mason..4 time for a rest, not really quality we need

Bentelab 6 needs a better CM partner,

Lamela 3 Seriously enough.. get rid

Eriksen 7 came to life when Dembele and Stambouli came on

Soldado 4 huffed and puffed, poor

Kane 8 works so hard and scored, starting to win me over, but we still need a quality striker imo

Dembele 7 wasn;t great but when he came on Eriksen came alive

Stambouli 7 did what he was asked to do

Chadli am i alone in not getting this geezer

Lloris - 7 - he is so much better than the rest.

Walker - 5.5 - totally mixed. He was veeeery close to a sending off and Montero troubled him a few times. But he showed good moments and he is needed in this system.
Fazio - 4 - totally lost his opponents today
Vertonghen - 4.5 - not a good game by him. Bony dominated our CBs alone.
Davies - 7 - I think a faultless performance with a great interception and he even got the winning assist. As it was an important game for him against his ex club, he gets my vote.

Mason - 5 - couldn't control midfield and I think save him on the bench at the moment and maybe he can make impacts like in the CC.
Bentaleb - 6 - okay, in big trouble in midfield but that was not down to him alone. System made it difficult.

Lamela - 3 - Defensively okay, a few good interceptions, but instead of adjusting and producing something he seems to regress game by game. It is like with Soldado. About a month ago I backed both since they signed here, but they still can't take their chances.
Eriksen - 6.5 - on the ball our best player. Assist + goal, but didnt do anything for about an hour. Not only his fault though.
Kane - 7 - working rate very good. Scores again. Good.

Soldado - 3 - not one good moment in the match.

Dembele - 6 - good sub, the man we needed the situation. Couldnt create a dangerous chance as usual though.
Stambouli - 6 - another good sub. Did his job well enough.
Chadli - 4 - only 10 minutes, but bottled it about three times in that time. Need to step up again.

Lloris - 6 - Went early for the goal but you can hardly blame him for that.

Walker - 6 - Feels so good to have him back.
Vertonghen - 4 - Is he good or not? I can't decide what I think.
Fazio - 6 - Made some good plays and some cock-ups but shows that he cares.
Davies - 7 - Solid today, all I want from him is to cause more trouble going forward.

Mason - 5 - Looked average today but I think that was mostly down to our formation.
Bentaleb - 6 - Same as above but performed better.
Lamela - 3 - Really needs to slow the fuck down and play more simple and effective football.
Eriksen - 7 - Showed up in the first minutes and the last minutes of the game.

Kane - 7 - Workhorse, our own Kuyt (in a good way).
Soldado - 1 - Everything that can be said about him has been said a thousand times.

Think now's the time Mason comes out for Stambouli. Need to protect him a little and not hang him out to dry like Tim did with Bentaleb last season. Already got people questioning Mason's ability :bored:

Kyle's back then. Kinell.

Good match fitness for him anyway, could see he tired in the middle of the second half.

Big Daddy Kane for the prize.

Lloris - 8 - some great saves, once again he kept us in the game. Nothing he could really do with their goal

Walker - 7 - Excellent to see him back, his pace and work rate really benefitted us. He helped in both attack and defense and illustrated just how much we've missed him

Vertonghen - 6 -
Should be marshalling the defense and stopping what Bony was doing to us, not as poor as Fazio but he needs to step up and run the show at the back, organise tthings

Fazio - 6 -
slow, constantly let Bony move out of his eye sight and into dangerous positions. A poor game on the whole

Davies - 6 -
thought he played well, was an outlet going forward and pretty sound at the back. Was at fault for their goal though as Routledge mugged up

Mason - 6- sloppy today, no lack of effort but was caught out with his passing and out of position from time to time. Over run in the centre of the park, lost the battle

Bentaleb - 6 -
not bad, but lost the midfield battle

Lamela - 4 - really terrible, so wasteful. Playing like a coward, hate the way he stabs his foot out at the ball and shys away from challenges with all his weight on his standing foot leaning backwards with a long stabbing leg attempting to win a token challenge attempt. Started reasonably well, good work rate which forced a few turn overs of position, but he was poor and he did nothing. We carry him like playing with a man down, he never once looked like beating a man, scoring or playing a killer pass and the one time he did get in a decent position after a couple of their players and he had 3 forward players ahead of him with no pressure from their team.....he sloppily whacked it straight to them.....wotless

Kane - 8 -
I thought he was outstanding, never stopped working for the team. Great header to give us the lead and excellent pressure on the defender after Eriken's shot was saved which forced him into a poor clearance straight to Davies for the turn over that lead to our winner. Not to mention a great run near the end that very nearly tied the game up

Eriksen - 7 - Not really his best game, but some nice classy bits of link play and more importantly an assist from the corner and the winning goal when it really mattered. Top class

Soldado - 4 - Completely non existent, I was shocked he started the game in the first place and he did nothing, less than nothing to prove me wrong. I didn't notice any difference in the level of his performance when he went off, he was probably more dangerous to the Swans sitting on the bench than at any point strolling around the pitch aimlessly.

Dembele - 6 - thought he played well, showed some good strength and helped us regain some momentum which enabled us to build a platform with which to win the game from. Good show, should have replaced Soldado at half time
Chadli - 6 - didn't really do much right or wrong
Stambouli - 6 - did little of any note for better or worse

Thought we played well until we scored. We pressed and worked hard and kept the game in their half. As soon they scored we sat off, let them play through us and we're shit for the rest of the game.

We didn't deserve anything but winning is all that matters.

We lack quality in key areas and until that happens we will struggle. Lamela and soldado were awful, as were basically everybody else with the exception of walker, lloris, kane and Davies.

i thought he got better and better as the game went on to be honest. completely shut down montero 2nd half and was still galloping down the line after 85 minutes.

yep, seems his initial steam has run out, maybe stambouli or paulinho in for mason would work nicely now?

Lamela lost again... and ineffective.

Davies IS the starting LD.

Walker's return is clearly is positive...

Kane hustled and played well,... Eriksen MotM IMHO.

Fazio still showing a bit of bambi on ice, but just about coped in the end...

Poor old Bobby, clearly Poch does not support him blindly like he supports Lamela.

Dembele and Stambouli played like players willing to earn a spot in the team -- good on them...

Good work and a nice 3 points -- COYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Mason, is getting hung out to dry for issues with the team that are not his fault

Bony was constantly getting between, FB's and CB's yet the FB's seem to be our best players, Montero and Routledge were constantly causing us issues yet that got overlooked

Mason's passing was poor but every time the ball went to the AM 3/front four it would come straight back so in reality he is todays scapegoat but the issue is the team setup imo
