What about when we lost 5/6-0 to Liverpool and man.city under AVB?
What about Newport away this year?
What about Burnley 1-1 at home earlier this season? What about so many other games before poch or under AVB or Redknapp when we could’nt break teams down?
Still think Newcastle tops that because we lost out to 2nd place to our worse enemies and got labelled 3rd in a 2 horse race for a long time after. This should be the 3rd season we finish above the goons.

Poor game, uncharacteristically sloppy in possession and, as with the last few games, infuriatingly flacid going forward. However, sometimes you’ve just got to get the points and escape unscathed. We needed a win by any means and that was achieved.

I am now incredibly hopeful that I might get the chance to watch Liverpool lose the champions league final and proceed to finish 5th - that, ladies and gentlemen, would be worth watching this awful game of football over and over, a million times on loop.

Lastly, thank god or any other non-specified deity we have Jan Vertonghen- the man might just help drag us, limping and lame, to the finish line and an unlikely 3rd place.

Oh yea Newcastle away was a shitter, I was there pal. Fucking waste of time money and emotion. Gutless performance.

Lloris - 8 - saved our bacon!

Trippier - 6 - was a bit of a mixed bag. some really nice moments with crosses, but then some shambolic defending
Sanchez - 7 - overall he was quite solid and focused tonight. less mental lapses
Verts - 8 - Dude is carrying the team right now
Davies - 5 - deary me. he looks low on form, confidence and fitness.

Dier - 6 - flat footed lug, ambled about the pitch a bit. had a couple of nice tackles and passes. also was caught out many times.
Dembele - 5 - not at the races today, i'm afraid. looked far too careful and pedantic with the ball. weird seeing him bullied.

Eriksen - 6.5 - he was good mostly. but i do not like when he hides sometimes where we're under pressure.
Alli - 7 - i give him credit for at least putting a good effort in tonight. yes, he was occasionally weak. but he's been more focused recently
Son - 4 - turd. what on earth Poch is thinking with continuing to persist, is beyond me. can't imagine how the likes of Lamela and Moura must feel watching this guy bumble and tumble around the field, looking like a blind hamster in a pinball machine.

Harry - 6 - can't fault him for trying. his mind is writing checks his body can't cash right now.

SUBS:
Lamela - 6 - seemed a bit disinterested and annoyed. can't blame him really.
Sissoko - 5 - he... um. fuck it. can't be bothered.
Wanyama - 6 - he ran around and did his thing. another one that doesn't look very confident

Poch - 5 - something's wrong. the players looks discombobulated. his tactics are meandering. his dedication to mediocrity by starting out of form players like Son is clearly having an effect on everyone. i also think this little thing called hubris is preventing him from starting the likes of Toby. You can see what Verts leadership means, coming out of the back. Toby offers the same. Solid foundation and all that. I just think Poch is sticking 'his' guys at the moment, and it's hurting the team.

Tripps MOTM for me with Lloris' timely return to form coming close second.

Eriksen and Vertonghen probably the only others I'd praise for being at the requisite effort and quality levels. Kane looked more like himself at times which is promising.

The whole game and atmosphere was flat and disappointing, which sort of makes sense after the gutting defeat at the weekend. I was hoping for a return to form but its more of the same. I'd like the season to not totally fizzle out. Would be nice to enjoy a game or two before the end.

That said very glad for the huge 3 points as better/more motivated opposition would have punished us today.

I’ll do that if you re-read what I originally wrote and don’t start quoting me with the Newcastle 5-1 or drubbings by Man City/Liverpool.
Ooo someone’s been on the sensitive juice lol.
Pretty sure what you wrote was that it was the worst game you’ve watched in 15years. Again, either you haven’t watched many spurs games in that time or your brain has been wiped of all the shit show games we had to go through under AVB and before him.

Again. Not our performance, THE WHOLE GAME OF FOOTBALL. I feel like I was pretty clear in that.

Please use a clearer font, better formatting and say it again so we can all understand.

The burning question has to be what was the worse game in 2003? We did have a rocky end to that season. Yes I know you meant the WHOLE GAME!!

Lloris has had a bit of a shitty time recently, I'm delighted he put in a really strong performance.

In fact, I'm so delighted that I'm going to forget Dier and Dembele even played today and try to erase minutes 14-45 from my memory.

Any game which ended with Gary Doherty up front I'd wager.

2003? Got to be the Newcastle 5-1 mate or any game under AVB.

Don't forget Lasagne gate as well. Which set the club back 10 years!
