Come on then @cliff jones @davidmatzdorf @boris @UpTownSpur, you've all rated my post as spam (not that I care about ratings as you can probably tell from my overall ratings), I'd love to hear your thoughts on how great Eriksen was and how terrible Lamela was. I suspect your replies will have some mentions of "involved in everything" or "lots of running" despite being myths but we'll wait and see.

I guess this comes off as I actually care about ratings but it's more about wondering what those who do actually think (does that make sense?).

I spam rate knee-jerk, agenda-driven posts, and you have a lot of previous with Eriksen. We get that you have a blind spot with his contributions -- there's no need to go on about it. And I don't know what you're talking about with Lamela as though it were an either/or thing. I think they've both been excellent this season and will be still better next. I suspect Poch thinks so too.

He's created more scoring opportunities than anyone in the League with the exception of Ozil and assisted the second most goals in the league behind Ozil. This from a player who is still eligible for the Young Player of The Year. You're are so ridiculously far off in your critique of Erisken every week, how do you honestly not see his importance? We'd be nowhere near where we are if we din't have Eriksen this season.

Ahh yes, so you have no real point to make, pretty standard from the ratings crew on here.

So what you're saying is if we played with 10 men we'd be doing worse, unless we had a player like Ozil (a player that has less assists than Milner this year). Ok, got it.

You asked why I spam rated your comment and I told you why. That's the only point I needed to make.

I asked why Eriksen is so great not why you rated my comment as spam.

Once again, those using the argument that he's created the most chances might as well tell me how Lloris has made the most saves. We are the most dominant team in the league and he is supposed to be our most creative player (plus he takes 90% of set pieces). It's funny how everything bad that he does is instantly forgotten, such as his lack of willingness to beat Myhill to the ball or his shocking set pieces.

Haha what are you on about? Where did I say anything that resembles that?

You talk about Eriksen's importance as if there were no alternative. Put any other leading AM in that role in our dominant attacking team and they would eclipise Eriksen no issue. Payet, Ozil, Willian, Mahrez etc.

Your argument is circular. So our most creative player creates the most chances -- isn't that a good thing? He also covers lot of ground and closes down the opposition's play -- you don't need crunching tackles to do that. Eriksen is more creative and Lamela is more aggressive -- they both have strengths and weaknesses. You're setting up a straw man by suggesting other people have Eriksen as the hero and Lamela as the fall guy, because they patently don't.

Because in our squad there is no alternative and I disagree that those guys, apart from Ozil, would eclipse him if they were in our squad. Payet has nowhere near the mobility or endurance levels as Eriksen and Willian and Mahrez are different types of players.

The game was slipping away from us, was anyone surprised they scored?

Poch should have acted ....love him ofc....but lastnite he should have stepped in after around the 60min mark when WBA started banging on the door and changed things.

Gutted that we slipped up just when Leicester imo were about to drop points...now we will never know.

Been a great journey...proud of Spurs , proud of poch....now lets get 2nd FFS.

Has affected me more than I thought it would at my age.
Especially as I gave up serious thoughts of the title several games ago.
Coming round to Dembele and thought he was strong and reassuring.
I've seen this film before though.
Should have been 2/3 up after the opening 40 minutes.
Then slowly shrank and forgot the game plan.
Ban on silly boy Deli and injury to Dyer might just wreck our season.
They wouldn't ban the YPOTY though would they.

Lloris.........5.......Nervy again. One thing to do and he didn't.
Walker......7.......Promises more than he delivers.
TobJan......7........Sound generally and both more positive coming forward. Odd lapses.
Rose.........7*......Almost delivers what he promises.
Dier..........7........When he falters, we falter.
Dembele.8........Not as productive as he should be but increasingly effective.
Eriksen....8........Do I not like this boy. Essential to our passing game.
Lamela....6........Typical performance but noit quite on it.
Alli............6........Good season.Shame about last night. Enjoy the rest.
Kane........6.........Had he scored early we would have won. Struggled a bit.

Great season lets hope we get our just reward.

After our goal I felt a weird complacent vibe in the team/crowd . We've won so much recently ,so we all thought 'here we go again '. We came so close to scoring another too . Home and dry we thought .

One thing not mentioned in this thread is the complete change in WBA tactics for the 2nd half . There was an article on the front page on how to beat Spurs tactically and Pulis followed it to the letter 2nd half . High press us and we stop playing , simple as that .
http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...40416-talking-tactics-spurs-vs-west-brom.html

We conceded a goal ...and for the last 20 mins ....we failed to create another chance !! Spam did the same to us . We don't seem to have the tactics/personnel to counteract it . The whole league will have observed and learned from our discomfort . Personally I think we need new and highly skilled blood in the window to break through the high presses we are inevitably going to face next season .Plain gritty hard work aint gonna do it imo .

Weird match of 2 halves Dembo Mom (8)

I thought the team were excellent in the 1st half and no one can deny that. Second was sloppy but I'm pretty disapointed about the negativity here.
