Perišić without a doubt for me. Pure quality in his role, and feels like he knows exactly what Conte wants. Jenas somewhat incomprehensibly gave it to Højbjerg. Kulusevski continued his indifferent form in the first half, but in the second something clicked and he got back to being the outstanding player we've seen since he's arrived.

Sanchez for me. We looked very solid defensively and he was at the heart of that.

apparently we haven’t conceded for the last 7 and a half hours he’s been on the pitch.
Man's a donkey, but can defend. I'd rather that than the opposite. I've got love for him.

Ballers - Perisic, Dejan, Betancur, Kane, Richarlison.

They are good with the ball and always find players in the best position.

Son needs to up his game, stats padding aint going to do it this year.

Just fighting my way home on packed trains. Great turn out in the ground, considering the ******* strikes.

My take aways:

Dier was my motm. Very assured at the back and made some great blocks and interceptions.

Periscope (perisic, stupid auto correct) and son were on different planets when trying to link up. But periscope put in some great crosses. Looked a touch rusty positionally at times in offensive positions. But he's a very good player.

Kulu good second half.

Emerson improved all round. Got to say conte has brought him on nicely. Still a little hesitant for a quick ball into the box at times. But a vast improvement apl round, well done that player. All over the pitch too.

Son. Not tuned up yet, although he did liven up second half. Just needs to find his groove. We've been here before with him so he'll be fine.

Richy was a live wire when he came on. Going to be a very good addition. Strong on the ball and very skilful. When he was warming up you could see how agitated he was to get on the pitch.

Kane for the goal, their orc at number 4 was all over him off the ball. He drops away after the tussle and schools him. Set piece coach working? 2 goals from crosses last 2 games.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur in the middle, a good partnership. But there's an issue getting the ball to the forwards.

There were times the players attacking were isolated upfront.

Team is going places once they settle a bit more and warm up as games come thick and fast.

I thought royal played well but was bad. Couldn’t cross to save his life. But defended ok. Really needs upgrading.

Hojbjerg for me.. Missed a few key passes but was everywhere and that fighting spirit in him is massively underrated.

He missed more than a few key passes. He also got a pointless booking after 11 mins. I am a big Højbjerg fan but I thought he was really poor today.

Perisic 100%. Was at it right from the start when others were warming up. Kept Neto quiet and put in some fantastic corners with bags of pace. Thought Davinson had a good game bar one mistake when he let it go over his head, but was solid defensively. Kulusevski came to life at half time after being largely anonymous first half. Son was very poor, especially compared to Richarlison. He'll come to life at some point but for the first time in years we have a very viable alternative.

Perisic, Sanchez, and Hojbjerg the three standouts.

Son needs a break. No reason to sign a player like Richarlison and not actually make use of the competition that opens up, give him a couple of starts and use that to motivate Son.

perisic motm for me. Sanchez decent, and everyone else a bit mid.

on Hojbjerg, i really just dont get it. I saw BT game him motm and people i respect, like Windy on TEI for example, described him as 'commanding'

I'm fully prepared to accept that I'm wrong, but what i see is just plain ordinary. a player that is capable at times, sure, but more often than not cannot take the ball under pressure, has a terrible touch, and shows far more pashun than quality.

what am i missing?

I might be understanding this wrong but are you saying Son stat padded last season?

He offered a hell of a lot more than that if that's what you're saying.

He's not on it at all so far this season, definitely. But he's still one of the two world class footballers we have in the team.

A guy who reads the game and covers defensively as well as Bentacur, and who scores, assists and delivers incisive passes more. That's not a dig at Bents, it's just that coz he's silky smooth on the ball people overlook his shortcomings yet are ready to stick the knife into PEH at every opportunity. I dreed to think how many points we'd have dropped in the past two season without PEH - he's no Fernandinho or Kante but Jesus wept give the guy some credit.

Game of two halves

First half - 1.25/10 and that 1.25 is for the clean sheet

Second half - 6.5/10

If we want to keep top 4 this season we have to boss these games.
Don't really agree here. We lost it last year, were extraordinarily lucky not to lose at Molineux, and still came 4th! They're a tough team to beat, defensively robust and strong on the counter, very well setup and organised. Few teams will boss them, and it's entirely possible whoever comes 4th will drop a couple of points to them. These are the games you have to consistently win one way or another if you want to lift the title, so long may these results continue!

Kulusevski was much better than Sanchez or Hojbjerg.

Teh important thing is that last week we played badly and got a point at Stamford Bridge. This week we also played badly and beat a decent Wolves team. We have substance.

Great team effort - Wolves had a good plan against us but we just bullied them in the first half thinking they were in control, just ran after them, put some hard tackles in - it’s called getting under your opponent’s skin and thinking they’re better than you.

Second half we changed up a few gears and could have easily had 4 - The misunderstanding of tactics in the PL is all over the shop in here, there are no easy wins, each game has a different set up to the next.

Conte knows what he’s doing, it’s hilarious that most of you think this is Harry Redknapp football “Go out and run around a bit” - We now have someone with a brain, able to have a psychological impact on his opponent’s and their manager.

I love watching our team now, remember the early 2000s and before that, now we have this crazy good squad and all these great players to watch - some world class… and the reaction to a 1-0 win is “what a load of rubbish” lol

Try chilling out for a moment and watch the game without any frustrations or anger and you’ll realise what level these players are at and how they’re able to execute things. Title is on this season for sure
