How ironic that I've just been neg repped again for suggesting that maybe Wilkins wasn't that good. Still at least I'm in good company.

Good company? That's one guy from the Telegraph, and a few divs on Twatter.

It's hardly the footballing fraternity jumping around exclaiming like you are.

I'll just repeat once more, that Wilkins is extremely well-regarded in the football world, a very respected figure who is regarded as extremely knowledgable about the game.

And I'll also say once more - who knows more about the game, a few blokes on a chat room and some name-making little journo twat, or a man who has played and coached at the highest level?

The day you start trusting what a journo thinks is the day you give up trying to think for yourself.

I did a lot of reading about him when Chelsea let him go and no-one could really understand why, especially with Ancellotti talking about him with such praise.

He really knows his stuff, and people in football know that.

Also, a very close relative of mine happens to be a former football journo, still with lots of contacts in the game. Wilkins is a very respected figure in coaching circles.

As I said (and you again seem to ignore) opinion will always be devided. There are others in this thread that agree with me, so pipe down and if your going to debate a point, at least READ what others have written.

I can see why people don't like Wilkins as he is no nonsense and very raw, but I happen to like his style.

You said he cleary doesn't chat shit...he quite obviously does. I don't know how many more examples you need. After the AC Milan game he said how well the referee had handled the game "well done young man", he was speaking bollocks.

He said the exact same thing literally minutes after the ref should have given them a penalty and booked Ramos "well done young man", guess what? He was speaking utter bollocks again.

Now onto the Wilkins coup de gras, "Spurs can deal with Madrid corners all day long", "Really Ray? Is that why we've already conceded two goals from corners? Are you speaking bollocks again Ray? Are you buzzing off your tits by any chance? Thought so"
