some peopel think the problem about scoring goals, yes i agree with this when it was clear against Hull city, but de didn't created enough chances against Middlesbrough, Chelsea, Villa, Wigan and Newcaslte, so we can't say the problem is our strikers instead of rythem or lack of creat chances apart from Hull city game. so if we can improve some departments - specially second striker rule, then our scoring will improve by our strikers as Roman, Bent & Campbell all can't create something unless if Ramos asked one of them to be ideal AM for now. Also we need to improve other things:
1) Right back and CB:
a) Corluka positioning for CB didn't impressed me as Woodgate looked average with him, as well as his defence as RB when involved. He is still useful player and needs more time, Is he ideal one to replace King in league games as he isn't available in UEFA cup games ? This mean Dawson is backup for the backup and Gunter/Hutton share the right back position.
b) Gunter played fairly well against Hull, his attacking runs improved even with Wales, nothing questioned about his defensive effort yet when he involved, he was solid. Thare a lot talke about he is ideal center back ? Do you agree with this and rotate Hutton/Corluka for right back ?
2) The middle park:
a) we saw Zokora-Jenas improved with Modric support as LM and make G. Bale as wing-back, smilar system used by Real Madrid/Milan with R.Carlos/Cafu.
b) The need of Modric on the middle, and rotate JJ, Zokora & O'Hara.
c) we lacked to score goals from the middle, where Lampard, Gerrard, Fabregas, Scholes etc always threat outside the box and even smaller teams scored range ball against us in recent months, if we want this option, the only way is sticking with 3 CM every match and give Huddlestone or Boateng more run of games. for this debate, if we needed new middle player, then we need to replace Jenas not Zokora in jan.
3) Left winger and second striker situation ?
a) we still didn't use Giovani too much, as left sided where he used against Roma or where we failed to replace Robbie Keane to link-up the mid. with the striker. He is the ideal one for that rule when we are using Modric on left with Jenas & Zokora on the middle.
b) although i really unimpressed with his last appearance in league game against Newcastle 1-4 last season, but it might be Adel Taraabt is the current answer for this, to use Giovano on left and Modric on centre.
c) another plan for left/second striker situation, i really liked Lennon as left winger this season.
