That bench is complete nonsense.

Only one attacking option in Son, who should be starting ahead of Sissoko.

3 x FBs - Trippier, Rose, KWP.
1 x CB - Foyth
1 x untested utility player in Georgiou, who usually plays along the left flank.

Edwards was apparently poor in the afternoon youth match against Real, but either Marcus or Sam Shashoua would at least have given us a tricky bench option to run at their defenders late on, given GKN's absence with concussion.

KWP can beat a man, so perhaps he is our attacking option after Son.

Could be, but going by the order they've put the names* it isn't.

*Lloris (C), Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Aurier, Sissoko, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Kane, Llorente.

The order would put Verts as a RCB and Sanchez as a LCB. So I don't think the order has anything to do with how we'll play

We are going to start out hard, go for two early goals, and use all three subs to deploy only defenders for the rest of the game.

No idea why we need 3 FBs on the bench. I expect no subs unless we have an injury. :(

We don't have any CMs if Dembele isn't fit. TOB is away with internationals, Alli is banned. If we need another CM we will move Sissoko there and bring one of the wide players on.

It's such a shame that Dembele, Dele and Wanyama are all missing our 'biggest game' under Poch. I wonder what it would be like if we were full strength and Real Madrid were missing Modric, Kroos and Isco?

Kane gonna be playing #10 ffs

Nothing wrong with that in a game we won't dominate.

Starting Llorente is a great move from Poch. Kane on his own could be very isolated, should be able to keep possession higher up the pitch and Kane will benefit from Llorente's knock downs and hold up play.

Not to mention Madrid will not have anticipated this.
