I think Winks and Dier will be left chasing shadows. I see no protection for our back 4.
I don't actually begrudge Sissoko starting but for me the tactical switch needed to be a tight midfield trio;

Dier
Sissoko Winks
Sissoko needs to tuck in because if he's bombing on down the right flank and standing on Aurier's toes then we have a problem centrally which Modric and Kroos will exploit time and again.

It's such a shame we don't have Wanyama and Dembele tonight to out muscle them in midfield.

I should add, we normally blow a fuse and either concede early or a red card. Let’s hope we avoid those dodgy First 15mins.

If our midfield doesn't get dominated I am going to be in a state of shock, oh well, to dare is to do, COYS.

On the absence of Mousa Dembele: “Dembele is not on the bench because after the last training session yesterday he suffered a little bit of pain and he’s out for today,” the Tottenham manager tells BT Sport reporter Reshmin Chowdhury.

Like most its the midfield i worry about but im hoping sissoko is going into beast mode like he has in big games before. I think kane playing 10 is a masterstroke. Ping it upto llorente back to kane, kane moves it out wide and ghosts into the box unmarked and boom. Just as he did v apoel.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the night one Moussa Sissoko introduces himself to football's global stage. And then falls over

Just seen the team, and i really hope that is 3-5-2 with Aurier and Verts as WB again, and not 4-4-2 with Sissoko and Eriksen wide. Otherwise i fear 4 is the least we'll concede tonight.

4-3-2-1 could work ok, but 4-4-2 is way too open. I'm scared. Just want us to play well and get a respectable score, would be devo'd if we got hammered.

Llorente has presumably played more games at the Bernabeu than the rest of our team combined...
