Man, I really hope we beat Liverpool, they are pretty good at Wembley to be fair and we haven't played well against them in recent times, I tell you something though, I think we should take the same approach against them that we took against Madrid tonight, not because I think Pool are the better side but because I think tactically our high line plays right into their hands.

We have been our own worst enemy against them in recent seasons, we need to take the same approach we did tonight against the dippers and I think we will win quite comfortably, they don't play well against teams that are defensively well organized.

Already been said but massive massive plaudits have to go to Harry Winks.

With little to no support in midfield against two of the best midfielders in the world he more than held his own.

The sort of performance that should start to make us all believers that he really is the real deal.

I think he will be a future superstar, genuinely get that impression about him.

Happy with a point, but fuck me im disappointed we didn't take all 3, on clear cut chances think we had the better of it! .... who would think we'd be disappointed with a point at the bernabeu! Love this squad! Winksy or nando was my motm!

Talking my Tottenham tinted glasses off I think a draw was a fair result. Couple of good saves from Lloris in that game. That said I thought we were fantastic. Poch got the formation and tactics spot on. I was a bit concerned at that lineup but again shows what the fuck do I know!

Winks was so calm in the middle and looked to get it forward. RM did seem to mark Eriksen more than him but still the young lad was fantastic. As was Sanchez. He just seems to quietly get the job done. No drama and plays with a maturity beyond his young years.
I’ve been a massive critic of Sissoko but he was very good tonight. His first touch which can be shocking was great. That flick over his shoulder from the ball behind him was fantastic. Poch really seems to have turned him around.
Everyone else was also outstanding. Yeah Aurier made a rash tackle but Walker had those in his locker when he was younger. Thought he was good going forward. 9/10 for everyone. Im feeling generous so even Eriksen who didn’t have one of his best games.

all this talk by pundits and opposition fans about us lacking squad depth is boring now

we’ve just got a draw against the best team in the world with us fully using our SQUAD, having 4/5 key players out and didn’t look out of place at all

fantastic and mature performance from this amazing team, honoured to be experiencing these moments with this club

Hopefully, with their big win, they'll come to Wembley thinking that they will thrash any team that they face now.
Weird thing with football that normally if a team scores a hatful they struggle to score next game.
Apart from us at end of last season but we're special lol.

Lloris was amazing, but I really have to give MOTM to Vertonghen. A world class performance at LB on the biggest stage in the world. Madrid went right at him, even Ronaldo attacking on that right flank at times.

And Sissoko, I realize he has his shortcomings, but he did exactly what we needed of him tonight (and what he does for France), he quickly and powerfully, moved the ball forward, again and again. His link up with Aurier was basically our entire attack and at times it was almost beautiful.

And Harry Winks, take a bow. There were a couple runs that were perfection. I don't know what it takes to be a 21 year old, undersized midfielder with ice in your blood at the Bernabeu, but he's got it.

It's all a testament to Poch. His time with the squad and his development of these players. How many of us would have believed that we'd take a point in Madrid and be raving about Vertonghen, Sissoko and Winks?? It was said earlier this week that Poch could be Levy's Ferguson, and a big part of that is being around for so long that you understand the pieces you have to work with. He knows these players and what they're capable of. I had some huge question marks about the formation tonight, but he got it done.

Love this club.

Great match. Could easily have gone either way so a point is fair in my book. We were so solid in the back which is seems to be Poch's trademark, be solid at the back so that the attackers can play with some freedom. Eriksen and Sossoko did great jobs tracking back but so impressed with Winks in the middle and he did a great job of pushing the ball forward in the run up to the goal. Watching it again now, what fun it is.

Excellent point, sets the remaining 3 games up nicely with a chance to progress. COYS

In between bouts of just enjoying the game, I took moments of sheer pleasure in recalling that the stupid Goon fecks were actually, literally celebrating that we got drawn in the Group of Death. With three games to play, two of which are at home, and having played away to RM, we have to be favourites to qualify. We could even finish top of the group. LoL...stupid Goon fecks :)

Poch played Jan at left back, moved Toby across to play left centre back and Sanchez right centre back and I thought, why has he done that today? That was on Saturday and now I know.:)

Fantastic result from the lads and poch, holding Madrid at their fortress in the CL is no small feat, should shut up the doubters who thought we would not manage this group. Very proud of this side, i will be the first to admit my negativity to sissoko was unwarranted, he was dynamite tonight, does not look out of place.

Sanchez had his best game for us so far. Whilst I have overall been impressed with him I have also been slightly nervous watching him, however, he looked quality tonight.

How much longer did Modric spend at Spurs after we turned down Chelsea? Aside from Walker in recent years we have sold important first-team players and replaced them with inferior ones. Until Spurs starting winning some decent trophies, refuse to sell to bigger clubs (and keep that player for more than a year regardless of how much he sulks) and/or consistently replace sold players with equally talented players we won't be considered one of the big clubs. Arsenal is a bigger club than us and isn't immune to bigger clubs potentially poaching their talent so we definitely won't be for a while.
