These could all renew, Alnwick and Janssen were out of contract this time last season; Livermore and Smith as well as I recall. More interesting is those NOT on the list. Were not Gomes and Cudicini's contracts up?

I wouldn't mind Craig Gordon as a no.2 for a year if button was to be loaned out

Gomes yes - but Spurs also had a 2 year extention at Spurs option : I assume Levy would excerise that to be able to get a fee for him

Cudicini - http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/Archive/news_2011_5_438.page contract up in 2012 - assumed 30 June but not explicit. Hmm wonder if he has had an extension which has not yet been announced.

You're right on both counts. I know Cudicini hadn't signed an extension by the end of April though.
Thanks Jon

Could Cudicini have a 2012 contract to say 31/12/2012 rather than a 30/6/2012 date - is that a possible solution ?

Good shout. If we can't get in a new no1 (or don't want one) and Gordon got back to his best, he'd be challenging Friedel for that no1 jersey. I'd actually like to see Gomes challenge Friedel, but seems unlikely. Cudicini doesn't mind being on the bench however it would surely be better if we had some one who was hungry to challenge Friedel.

As for Button, he's played 109 games for 9 clubs according to wikipedia. It would be nice if he got a game or two for us, but perhaps a loan to a championship side, where he plays every week, would be best.

It's plausible but I'd say unlikely. All I can think is that he has signed an extension in the last month or that he had an option on his contract that wasn't reported.

Thanks - think I would go with the unreported option as the most likely

IMO Cudicini looked in pretty good shape last season so can do a good job this season too if required. No sense in letting him go unlesss we can get in the right alternative - and in a sense its a 'free' signing which is useful too

I agree mate. In fact, I'd be happy if we started the season with Friedel, Button and Cudicini as our three keepers.

Also to make the point that being on the list doesn't mean a player will definitely leave a club as negotiations on a new contract could be ongoing. Scholes has signed a new contract for example.

Ok - a few updates:
Jordan Archer, Ryan Fredericks and Cameron Lancaster are out of contract on 30 June but have been offered new deals (hence aren't on the released list).

Heurelho Gomes, Nathan Byrne, Jake Nicholson, Jonathan Obika and Alex Pritchard were all due to be out of contract but have had their deals extended.

Jack Barthram, Jonathan Miles, Jack Munns and Kevin Stewart have been offered pro contracts.

Daniel Day, James Yeboah, Ramil Sheriff, Lee Angol, Ronnie Hawkins and Paul McBride have been released.

William Ekong has been given a 3rd year scholarship.

Not sure about Cudicini but it seems he must have signed a new contract a little while ago (or the contract he signed last summer was for longer than a year).

Wow - lot of information not on main site.

Contract extensions - only real surprise I guess is that Jonathan Obika is getting an extension. Thought Spurs had assumed he would end up with Yeovil or elsewhere in Division 1. Always thought that Oyenuga would outlast Obika - as you have no mentioned him getting an extension do I assume he has been released for sure?

No surprises with Pro contract awards - but expected Ekong to get one too (Dutch u 19 international - I know he has not played as much as the others but he seems good and we are short of CB's).

Ronnie Hawkins being released is a slight surprise - excellent left foot but guess not enough else. We are light on CB's so had thought that Ramil Sherrif (who seemed to do well until injured for best part of a year) might well get a 3rd year scolarship. I guess no surprises with the others - Daniel Day went at Christamas.

BTW have you found out anything about contracts for Massimo Luongo, Tomislav Gomelt, Milos Veljkovic, Nabil Bentelab (rumoured to be on a 2 year contract ), Lawrence Vigouroux etc. Also any news on incoming youth (not Academy Year 1 but maybe 18 year olds eg Eduard Husinec has been tweeting he hopes to join for months) ?

Wasn't Waller-Lassen in the squad for the U19 youth tournament in Germany? Seems odd if he is being released.

Was actually surprised that Byrne got an extension as well to be honest. And agree with you about Oyenuga/Obika.

He was out a lot last season if I remember rightly. A 3rd year seems a safe option.

There's a bunch of players where I'm unsure of he contract situation:
Carlo Cudicini (as described above)
Harry Kane (signed pro contract in 2010 - no mention of length or if extended since then)
Massimo Luongo

Also haven't a clue about the following: Gomelt, Coulibaly, Veljkovic, Vigouroux. Bentaleb apparently signed a two year contract in November but I don't know if that's a two year pro deal for when he leaves the Academy or whether it's a two years Academy time.

Also any news on incoming youth (not Academy Year 1 but maybe 18 year olds eg Eduard Husinec has been tweeting he hopes to join for months) ?

Only ones I've heard much about are:
Luke McGee (England U17 keeper)
Connor Ogilvie (England U16 left-back)
Emmanuel Sonupe (England U16 attacking midfielder)

Isn't Veljkovic going to be first year Academy officially next year?

Then we've got Kodi Lyons-Foster (England U16 right-back) who will be 1st year Academy the year after, probably with Nabil Bentaleb.

Regarding our new shortage of goalkeepers, Guzan is available on a free, looked decent the few times I've seen him play and not a bad record when he was asked to step in for Given. Friedel might be able to convince to come and warm our bench.

Thanks.

BTW Sky had Kudos Oyenuga as a 2 year contract http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_6870530,00.html - maybe it was a 1 + 1 contract ?

Glad someone else is also confused with some of the youngsters ! Agewise I agree Veljkovic could fit into Academy Year 1 but with a dob of 26/9/95 he is only a month or so away from Dominic Ball (2/8/95 - current Academy Year 1, next season Year 2) so surely it would have been easier to squeeze him in there somehow - especially as he played in last season's pre-season Spurs X1 matches with some of the first team and played all of NextGen matches !

To me Nabil Bentelab (21/8/96) is a more straightforward new Academy Year 1 player (Connor Ogilvie dob 14/2/96 - BTW, I have him as CB and LB) but I did wonder whether Bentelab, Veljkovic, Gomelt and Vigoroux (now 18) were signing some sort of 'professional' contract rather than scholarship contract. Maybe OS will be forced to put them on the site this year and we will find out - or maybe not as have never seen any contract mention for Luongo !

BTW couple of other likely new Academy Year 1 guys for next season :
Liam Priestly - no 2 GK
Kolade Nathan Oduwa - Attacking Midfield player
Daniel Akindayiuni - Striker

Yes he was in the squad and played about 2 games - but has not featured otherwise for about 18 months so maybe he was being compared to the 17 year olds in the squad (and there are some good ones such as Kenneth McEvoy) as well as the 19 year olds (who are probably better having played more) and if there was still a risk of Walller-Lassen breaking down with injury again, they said 'sorry lad'. Hope he finds another club though because pre-injury he did look good and pretty fast

Having said all that it is not completelty certain he has been released yet. Still waiting for OS

But is he better than Cudicini who looked the dogs b*****cks at Clesea pre-Cech, whereas Guzan has played 8 games for A Villa, then allowed to go on loan to Hull for 3 months, returned to AVilla and then back to Hull on an emergency loan before being released.

On paper he looks a good proposition at 27 and no 2 US goalkeeper, but a surprise he didn't make more impact at A Villa (but noting Freidel and Given are good GK's)
