Too high a level? It's Europe's shittiest competition
Exactly
Too high a level? It's Europe's shittiest competition
How can we go 3 at the back when we don’t have 3 available center backs? Not at all, that's a very good result, and leaves us as favourites to top the group
And I reiterate again we should have gone three at the back v palace and should do against Chelsea
Hope that clears up any confusion you may have, and oh to reiterate also my score draw prediction was 100 percent spot on?
I think that covers all the major points ??
I am hoping ( through bad luck and injury) that Dilan gets his chance, perhaps next Wednesday. wishing injury on snyo
I don't wish injury on anyone, but for me Markanday deserves his chanceI am hoping ( through bad luck and injury) that Dilan gets his chance, perhaps next Wednesday.
I disagree, I don't think he did.Why did the manager put Emerson Royal at right wing when we took Moura off? Royal was really weak in that position looked totally lost. I would have thought it made more sense to put Dilan Markanday on in that position considering the experience he actually has in that position ? Surely that would have been more beneficial to the side moving forward too, as Markanday could then potentially be an option for us? I hate when mangers play players in a position they can’t play when there are youth options. Opportunities like that are surely one of the things spurring on youth players in the under age teams. Playing right backs as attackers is the sort of decision making that will lead to more of our youth players looking to take their footballing careers elsewhere.
We doHow can we go 3 at the back when we don’t have 3 available center backs?
I meant becuase of lack of first team players like Gil and Lucas. I agree that I would love to see him play. He looks so superb and I am so excited about Dane too. Although I am trying not to put too much pressure and expectation on him.I don't wish injury on anyone, but for me Markanday deserves his chance
There's something of the Messi about him, and he would lift the crowd V Mura I think is our next ECL
And yes start him v Wolves in LC too
For me football is about results and he has end product
But also as someone who has seen the likes of Greaves and Hoddle play for us, it's even more wonderful to win with flair and genius
Starting to accept mid table mediocrity now sadly. All i ask for is to have the old tottenham, attractive football back and to play on the front foot instead of 30% backs against the wall anti football we been served the last 3 years!Yep, have predicted 7 - 11, the Cups are the competitions we have a slight chance of winning
And with this very good result, we're still on track to win ECL
Not saying we will, in fact I think we won't but dum spiro spero, ? but not for this season Prem of course
What? Re-read what I said. I never commented on Winks other than that we apparently tried to sell himSo when Winks plays its his fault, and when he doesn't play its his fault too, that must be why we're talking about him...
Having sold Walker-Peters along the way.More like Trippier decided to leave and we got Doherty in a whole year later.
They finished above us for 1 season. Let's wait and see.I'm not talking about this game nor 4 games or the rest of this season, I am talking about months of games and at this moment we need to realize West Ham have overtaken us, tell me they haven't.

Good grief.Really don't think it's exaggerating to suggest we could be dragged into a relegation battle this season. It has all the hallmarks of it. Squad in chaos. Best player desperate to leave. Injury crisis already. South American players away for the best part of the next 5 months. Manager serving up horrible football meaning the atmosphere in the stadium will turn quickly toxic. No goals in the side. No creativity at all, barely even created a chance this season. No part of the side is functioning even adequately. Zero strength in depth. Confidence already shattered....
There's no game I would be confident of winning. Certainly not a Premier League game. We are in serious trouble.
A very costly point.
Bergy and Lucas real doubts for Sunday.

TEAM FORM: - Rennes - WWWLL ---- Spurs LWWWL ----- (All Competitions)
We will both aim to bounce back from demoralising league defeats at the weekend when we do battle in Europa Conference League Group G later today. Les Rouge et Noir suffered a 2-0 home loss to Reims last time out, whereas our perfect start to the season ended with a 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
The Bruno Genesio revolution at Rennes has lost quite a bit of momentum in recent weeks, with Les Rouge et Noir now suffering back-to-back 2-0 defeats to Angers and Reims during an underwhelming start to the new Ligue 1 season
With off-the-pitch endeavours relating to our South American contingent bedevilling us, we sought to maintain our perfect start to the season against Crystal Palace, whose new boss Patrick Vieira needed no added incentive to get one over us again.
Our defensive resilience came to the fore in victories over Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford, but after Tanganga saw red, Zaha struck the opener from the penalty spot before Edourad’s 10-minute debut saw him bag a brace in a humbling day for us.
Nuno’s perfect start to life in the Premier League with us was not going to last forever, and the Portuguese has already suffered one European defeat with us against Pacos de Ferreira, but we ran out convincing 3-0 winners in the second leg after a 1-0 first-leg defeat to make the Conference League group stages.
After spending four consecutive seasons in the Champions League from 2016-17 to 2019-20, being knocked out of last season's Europa League to Dinamo Zagreb in the last 16 represented quite the downturn for us, where we the supporters may not be all that thrilled about the prospect of third-tier European football this term.
Thursday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between Rennes and us in any competition, but the French side have already faced two London clubs in Chelsea and Arsenal in previous European tournaments, recording one win and three losses in the process.
Team News
Rennes attacker Martin Terrier was forced off after 27 minutes against Reims with a suspected thigh problem and is not expected to be available here, with fellow winger Jeremy Doku also out with a hamstring problem.
Kamaldeen Sulemana should earn an immediate recall to the left-hand side in Terrier's absence, while Loic Bade returns from a domestic suspension and should displace Warmed Omari in the hosts' rearguard.
Genesio also lost Alfred Gomis (quarantine), Birger Meling (adductor) and Lovro Majer (hip) before the defeat to Reims, and it would be a surprise to see any member of the trio line up on Thursday.
We remain without Sanchez, Romero and Lo Celso due to quarantine regulations, while Tanganga's sending off at Selhurst Park means nothing for European encounters.
Son, Sessegnon and Bergwijn are unlikely to make their returns from injury just yet either, while Eric Dier is also expected to miss out after going off injured against Palace.
Nuno ought to put out a relatively strong team given the calibre of opponent, but there could be opportunities for Gil, Gollini and maybe Ndombele to impress.
Head to Head
As mentioned earlier, we have never played each other in any competitive games.

Maybe not a relegation battle not with son, PEH and a motivated(hope!) Kane and Lloris we should be fine ? but serious work needed from top to bottom and sadly i don't have faith.in some players, coaches, manager, and ENIC making the changes?Really don't think it's exaggerating to suggest we could be dragged into a relegation battle this season.
