Just means the youth team players will all move up and fill gaps and make space for any more youth players we bring in or have in the wings waiting to play

All of which remaining reserves have had attention as potential prospects, at least as far as i've seen, apart from Butcher, Livermore and Hamed. From the media fed perspective, it looks a good trimming with a lolt of space left for more fancied youths.

I wonder whether a season in the reserves will do them any favours ? Does anyone know?

Butcher isn't great (although of course don't confuse him with his namesake Calum the very useful academy CB).

Hamed collapsed on the pitch in the summer of 2006 and I expect is being kept on the books for compasionate reasons.

Reserve football is crap tbh. They don't even play 20 games a season now. The academy side is a much better place for players to develop and then most of that reserve list will go on loan I expect.
