I'd love to see him ceremoniously pull ON our shirt in the centre circle of our next league game vs Stoke!!!

We could do a lot worse than play Ghaly.
Anyone who gets hung up on the shirt throwing incident is not being totally fair as he was quite influential in games and at least could pick a pass going forward and take players on a deliver a cross, something that Lennon could do with....

True, i think giving him a final shot against stoke couldn't do too much harm, despite my cries for a consistent starting line-up.

Is Boateng injured? Or not even considered good enough for the reserves?? What happened to all the reports of Ramos wanting him at Sevilla??

By the way does anyone know if Juande goes to reserve games?

There have been stories that his behaviour off-field has been pissing everyone off royally. He's had leave to go back to Germany.

Monchi wanted him at Sevilla, but we outbid them and they signed Seydou Keita instead. How we overlooked Keita when we were signing Taarabt from Lens eludes me, but I expect there were reasons.

Dunno.

It's good. I don't think he's any better than what we've currently got in the squad, but it halts the farcical situation of us having players like Ghaly, Boateng, Taraabt, Stalteri and Rocha on our books but mystifingly outside of the first-team squad.

Wow, I never thought I'd see it.

I'm absolutely blown away by this news.

I'm a big fan of Ghaly, he only had 1 full season here and got no end of stick, even though he was never played in his preferred position. I'd love for him to make a comeback.

Anyone going tonight? I will head along if I can get out of work early enough to go from Green Park to Leyton.

Thanks, and what an amazing difference he would have made to our team. Not sure if we were ever interested in him but I really hope we was and just missed out otherwise I really worry about our scouting system.

Would be good to see Ghaly involved. I always saw him as a slightly classier Mickey Brown, and he could do a job for us now as Brown did under Pleat. The other name I am pleased to see back in the reserve squad is Kieran McKenna. He is an actual defensive midfield player who understands how to close down play and break up the opposition. Jol and Davids both rated him highly, as does his international association. Worth giving him a go in my opinion. Then there is Charlie Daniels back from loan at Gillingham – a natural left winger who works his socks off. Again a gamble in our current position worth taking.

i would like to see all 3 of these players given a chance
they could hardly do worse than the ones that have played already

I think Ghaly could at least bring a bit of stability to the team in the short term. When he threw down the shirt, I saw it as someone who cared and was bitterly disappointed to be brought off. We need that sort of passion and commitment now. With so many new players, there's no loyalty or desire to play well for the club.
