Let's get Mido back too! I like both players and they would certainly put some passion and commitment into the team. I'm joking about Mido (I think...)

I don't really remember anything notable that he did when in a Spurs shirt. Same with Boateng, Taraabt and others. I just do not see what he would add.

Taarabt hasn't proved himself consistently in the reserves. Sounds like he put on a good show tonight, though—check the report on Spurs Odyssey tomorrow.

WAR!

I love it.

We could just be getting him fit for another team but I always rated him and we always played him as a DM when he isn't really. So it made him look worse than he really was

Lets not get carried away with the Ghaly back-slapping - remember, seconds before he chucked the shirt on the floor he was being subbed because he was having a really, really, really shit game.
you mean spurs needed some inspiration and when Ghaly came on he was trying to play over the top throughballs the like of which darren bent has wet dreams about?

you're right. what a waste of space.

Why not read the whole post? I realise it's got some long, complex sentences that you may struggle with, but at least try. I don't think you'll find the phrase 'waste of space' in there.

Ruud Gullit thought Ghaly could be one of the best midfielders in Europe; we signed him for £1m. Go figure.

He was and probably still is a real curate's egg of a player, and his biggest failing was that he would almost always go for the Hollywood pass when there was a simpler and better alternative. He would also try and take on three or four opposition players instead of getting rid of the ball. No-one doubts his courage or his willingness to get stuck in; he always tried a forward pass rather than a sideways or backwards one, and he was one of the best crossers of the ball we've had in recent years. But for every plus point you had a minus. That's what RSS is saying.

Through balls and crosses like this:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=C22FXQjPL6o

It's ridiculous that he isn't in the squad. Just because he was angry at being booed by thousands of fans in the heat of the moment. How would any other person feel?

As has been said in this thread. Bent would really cream his pants for service like this.

I like Ghaly, he has more bite than the typical player. Same as Teemu...still sad he's gone. Same reason I've wanted a DM for so long. I want an enforcer, if he has some skill, good stuff. If not, have skill everywhere else.

There have been stories that his behaviour off-field has been pissing everyone off royally. He's had leave to go back to Germany.

Monchi wanted him at Sevilla, but we outbid them and they signed Seydou Keita instead. How we overlooked Keita when we were signing Taarabt from Lens eludes me, but I expect there were reasons.

Dunno.

Of course we are clutching at straws, we are bottom of the league and have hardly won a game since February.
We need something different, at least until January, and we can do no worse now by recalling some of these players and giving them a go

would love to see him get another crack at it but i fear that he will be nowhere near match fit and could just end up copping a load of flack.

give him a go though

Ghaly is no where near as good as any of the first team midfielders, and he would play far worse then anyone is playing at the moment. A bold move by Ramos would be to throw in the likes of Taarbt or Rose, players who arent shy or afraid to miss a shot or pass, which seems to be holding back Jenas, Bentley and particulary Modric.

Actually you know what I remember FA Cup game and league game against Chelsea he outplayed Essien. Hmm I think we should make him captain.
