There's a Killers song with "soldier" in it. Think it's "I've got soul but not a soldier". Anyone come up with a song/chant for our potential record signing?

Please don't say it IS Luton because that's only 20 minutes away from me and i'll feel compelled to go there and gibber at him excitedly!

Glad you've volunteered for Luton, was worried I would have been the one to be on watch. I can go to work knowing you're doing us all a favour cheers Bc ;)

You'd get home to quotes from him saying "well, I was planning to join Tottenham but when I got to the airport I was accosted by a strange Brunette girl who just clutched my leg and wept copiously on my trousers. So I came back to Spain. Man, the English are weird, no?"

I'm pretty sure Levy delayed this Soldado deal so it's fit in with the pattern he wants to create a pattern. 2 weeks and a day in between Paulinho and Chadli's signings, then 1 week and a day to Soldado's(potentially). This can only mean one thing, another mega huge signing on Tuesday!

To the Bernard thread!

Erm I am as excited by us *very probably* signing Soldado as the next man and don't want to poo-poo anything but.... I am amazed at the level of confidence that he will be a megastar for us not only at all but NEXT season in particular. I really, really hope so but there is plenty of precedent for big money strikers needing a year to click. And a little bit of them never clicking at all (Rebrov and Shevchenko (sic) are obvious examples)

I just hope with a this price tag (50% more than our previous record signing) he either hits the ground running or if not then the usual neanderthal boo-boys (you know the ones) give him time

Whilst, I do agree with this theory normally, the case seems to be different with certain signings. Typically with those in the assumed price bracket of £25m; a good, recent comparison would be RVP. On his last big conract, still peaking, and top goal scorer in the league.

These players cost this much at their age for a reason; they are so in form that they would score goals in any side that created enough chances. We can be that team.

All These Things That I've Done tis it's name

"He gets goals, he's Spurs' super soldier"?

Or we could just do Soulja Boy Tell Em

"Youuuuuuu!"

There's a Ryanair flight from Valencia that gets into Stanstead at 13:20 tomorrow. I'd hope we wouldn't make our new star striker fly Ryanair but...you know, what with the Mido Easyjet ITK...;)

Well it says it arrives in Stanstead, don't be surprised if it ends up in Scotland...

One more thing, most of you propably guessed it already but Roberto can't speak english, he's a product of Real's academy and "their school" allows the youngsters to spend most of their time on training and make it through high school as quick and smooth as possible.
