Damn right this has been random, we've heard nothing all week except lies and now in the past hour bombarded with news. Guess its good right?

I think someone mentioned earlier that this is probably a Baldini signing and none of the existing ITK have links to Baldini. It could be a while before anybody gets established from Baldini camp, if they do at all. And so it makes sense that this came out of Italy if that's the case.

Or at least that makes a bit of sense to me.

But yeah, I think Levy trusts Baldini enough to have liaison with possibly Sherwood etc and to identify suitable, affordable targets. I prefer it this way, Levy is great with the financial side, less so with the transfers.

Soldado is exactly what our team needs at it's spearhead. When we were jizzing over Benteke's stats (areal duel win ratio etc.) I did wonder whether what we needed was someone to just sniff around the box intelligently ad bang them in like Soldado does. We've moved on (well, with the exception of Dawson) from hoofing the ball at our striker's head and hoping he brings others into play by holding it up. What's the point in having a ball-playing midfield of Sandro, Dembélé and Paulinho if we're going to bypass them by lofting the ball over their heads? Soldado fits into how the team looks to be taking shape perfectly.

Got a message from a spanish journalist close to the player this morning saying that deal could be announced as soon as today, communications over the payment plan started yesterday and an agreement was reached and seems today could be the day :-D
