Meh - a third striker, in a 1-striker system, is hard to come by. Even harder in this case since we would have to sell Soldado first.

Who are you going to get, for a cheap fee, and on low wages, who is going to play behind two other strikers - in a 1-striker system? Because we are not selling Soldaldo at a loss, and then paying someone else big wages to never play....

Literally anyone in the development squad or Gary Doherty

If we can't shift Ade, he is more likely to get the Benny treatment imo
If we can't shift him (which would be my preferred option; I'd like to see both of them sold, but Soldado as the #1 priority above all others) then I think that would be a daft option - might as well use him in the squad if we have to pay him anyway. But then we're often a pretty daft club, so I could see the 'Benny treatment' option being taken in reality.

Depends, may be deemed he has a negative effect on the atmosphere in the squad so best sat at home.

Hmm yeah, slow as fuck, so weak he gets thrown around like a kitten by moderate centre backs, can't head the ball, can't kick with his left foot, misses sitter after sitter with his good foot - and all for only £80K a week. Fucking ideal.

He's on 56 k a week.

I reckon he is good with the younger players:
I know he been has not been scoring goals but he has been good on the assist around the park.
Take Soldado every-time rather than that oxygen thief Ade

Saw the thread had taken off again and had hoped we had a bit of good news. Just to find out we are only extolling his virtues and he's still here :(

Quite right - from the outside he seems a nice enough guy. But any footballer where the crowd actually laughs or take the piss out of him when he comes onto the field of play then its time to pack your bags.

£80K is what was reported when he signed. If he's on £56K he has the worst agent on the planet. At the time he was starting for Spain and was transferred for £26M. £56K a week would be terrible wages for an international centre forward going for that money.

In any case, whatever he's on, he's truly, laughably abysmal and needs to be jettisoned ASAP.

Always hard to go against an honest player but I really can't see any point in keeping him.
Pretty sure we'll get some news soon.

I was so happy when we signed him. Truly thought after seeing him at Valencia for years bang in some outrageous goals that we had got ourselves a world class striker. It's gone so wrong for him here I don't think he can ever recover even at another club. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm not sure we're seen as a daft club more as one that has no backbone, I hope we take the Benny stance if he refuses a move, we need to set a precedent and stick to it, a tougher mentality is needed, a unison amongst the squad.

Bobby probably on 80k a week , that's a lot of money for a 3 rd choice striker who has struggled to score goals

Should loan him to La Liga for a year. Moyes was interested. He'll do ok when back home, and his stock will rise, should be possible to sell him then.

He will be 32 odd then, don't think we will get any money for him. Sell v cheap and get 5 mill off the wage bill

I think getting Soldado and Ade out, given the system we play, only one out and out CF would be needed, plus a WF capable of playing CF if needed, or a youngster.
WF/CF Son Heung-min or Clinton Njie etc
CF Mitrovic etc

Will be gutted if he's still a Tottenham player in September. As soon as he comes on the pitch you know that you've only got 9 out of 11 players who might get a goal rather than 10 out of 11.

Adebayor has seriously lost his mojo as well, but if we end up not being able to shift both of them this summer then I'd much prefer to keep the one who is a has-been in a Spurs shirt rather than a never-has-been-and-never-will-be.
I want Adebayor no where near this team.

Or give him a job in the club shop to make some use of him? ;)

Probably just have to take a huge hit on the fee. But in reality, the saved wages plus having players Pochettino actually wants and feels he can use, would make it worthwhile.
