It's funny how all our recent "exciting" transfer news has been the waste of spaces we have been trying to get rid of. Shows what truly horrendous transfer business we have done in recent years.
I don't think we'll have a third striker, I think we'll buy a WF and a Striker, who can technically play in both positions- so it will be more like 2 more attacking additions than 2 out-and-out strikers...Would be surprised to see him go as I don't have faith in us signing two forwards, one at a push.
Would be ludicrous to go into the season with Coulthirst as our third striker.
So with a week to go we could potentially have only one recognised striker for our opening game.As bad as Soldado is having him on the bench gave us options.Kane surely won't play both audi cup games
The kids will play some part I would think
With the way things were last season, with Adebayor missing, and Soldado not trusted, it's virtually no difference. So with a week to go we could potentially have only one recognised striker for our opening game.As bad as Soldado is having him on the bench gave us options.Kane surely won't play both audi cup games

Exactly. I'd buy an experienced striker who you know will offer you something different in games when required. Might not play a lot, but will effect the game without setting the world a light when called upon. With the way things were last season, with Adebayor missing, and Soldado not trusted, it's virtually no difference.
You don't win anything with kids!
It's interesting how peoples perceptions have changed. When we first bought the players everyone thought that if just 2 or 3 of the players came good then it was good business - sell one get 3. Now it is all wasted money. I know opinions are varied but in my thinking, we got Erikson (3rd in goals last season, 22 since being bought), Chadli, (2nd in goals last season) bearing in mind Spurs were the ONLY Prem team with 3 double digit goal scorers, and Lamela (lead team in assists last season) who I think after an injury filled first season is still a developing young player who while has not fulfilled his price tag (which he cannot be held accountable for) we come good and be an important player this year. With just a couple of fairly cheap exceptions, we really did flush the Bale money down the toilet.
