In other words we fucked up selling caulker and not getting his replacement sorted first and now we're scrambling round for any half arsed replacement

Hardly scrambling. Bit dramatic.

He has been far from convincing of late. Oh well we will have to trust our manager on this one. Seems like the deal for Vlad is dead....

The last thing we need is buying players cause Pleat can't spell. Next thing you know we'll be buying Moshi.

now that would be deadly. we could use rolando and moshi asi wide forwards and stick grant hall upfront! :sneaky:

Simple journalist maths.

Take CB injuries + Caulker sold + Vlad deal reportedly off + Bale money + Rolando played under AVB = link!

Think the Vlad deal will be resurrected personally, or the lad from Sporting, Tiago Ilori, seems a bit more in fitting with the clubs vision.

I wish we would have a go at Kyriakos Papadopoulos instead. he's class. and he's linked with liverpool so it'd be hilarious to "steal" yet another signing from them.
I would to. Aside from Mangala he's my favourite young CB and is absolutely dynamite in the air.

Any word on how much Schalke are looking for him?

And while it's being ressurected we are playing THudd alongside Dawson on first fixtures, that is if we are lucky. Could be Naughton and Fryers with injury to Daws on remaining pre-season fixtures and Huddle being sold.

Rolando was and I say 'WAS' one of the most highly rated centre backs a couple of years ago ... then he picked up a bad injury and instead of returning to fitness as a quality centre back, he sadly morphed into Gary Doherty. :(

We need to steer well clear of Rolando, I'd prefer to have kept Caulker than sign this guy.

Doesn't have the pace to cope with a high line system and is massively off form.

Mangala would be a good investment or Kurt Zouma if we wanted top players that be long term investments too.
