Well if the ego's rule yet again on the transfer and Peace stubbornly sticks to his guns, I bloody well hope that Levy gives a sufficient deadline in which we can move onto our plan B and C.

Yes, if ever a transfer needed a deadline imposed this is the one.

They need to sell. They can't keep him beyond this window unless he completely changed his attitude to the situation.

I don't think he'll accept a move to a non CL competing (as in competing for CL spots) team so unless Liverpool, United etc really are serious then they could be left in a tricky situation.

Why not a loan swap with Townsend with a fee attached for the 6 months? Then both clubs can assess the situation. Egos will probably get in the way to make it happen but it's better for everyone.

How about not? How about we just sell Townsend and forget about Berahino? I'd rather not distrupt the harmony of the squad when we have just finally gotten rid of all the bad apples. No need to bring in another bad apple.

what's all this "harmony of the squad" babble about? Are we a football club or a branch of Hare Krishna?

Saido is obviously still livid with the way WBA / Pearce has handled his transfer saga last summer. But that doesn't mean he will take that anger with him to Hotspur Way if he does get his move. And if he does transgress the boundaries, I expect Poch (who really wants him) to sort him out.

This has deadline day undisclosed fee written all over. Peace will want to save face at the end of all his bullshit.
He'll trot out a load of shite how he screwed DL while we say nothing knowing we have got a good deal.

Also consider he's spent a ton of time with a lot of our players in the English U21 setup. I'd imagine if he was really a dressing room curse it would have come up.

I can't see this one happening in all honesty. I reckon the business in the summer has probably left a sour taste in both camp's mouth and Peace seems like he's that much of a dick he'd rather keep Berahino to save face. I think we'll have to pay too much money for what his current value lies at and if it is true that Berahino does have issues off of pitch then Poch won't go anywhere near him. There's just too many things that make me think it's a no-go

True. Suarez played up. Bale played up. Modric played up (twice). Ronaldo played up. De Gea played up. It certainly didn't mean they became lesser players when they finally moved on.

am i the only one who hopes liverpool offer £30m and get him?
That would be so great, tbh. Imo, Berahino's ceiling is Defoe. And in no way, shape, or form would either fit Liverpool's system or be worth anywhere near £30m. Being like JD isnt a knock, as he was a good striker but not a £30m one even with the crazy money in football now.

Do you really believe you have a better idea of how good a player berahino can become than Pochettino?

Actually how much would a young Defoe be worth now definitely 20+ million if you look at Kane and Berahino for England U21s then I would say he has the potential to have a similar impact if he goes to the right team. I really think the way we play he would score a lot of goals easily 15-20 a season. Plus his pace would give us another dimension up front.

We play best with a striker who works hard, tracks back on defense, and holds the ball up and has the strength to stay on the ball and just enough pace to get an extra half yard from a decent angle to shoot. That is why Kane works so well in this team. It doesnt matter if he has much pace or not. Berahino's pace wouldnt make much difference in our system at striker. It would at AM, but we already have Son and N'Jie to inject pace from the AM position

Everyone here lives here life clean as whistle, didn't you know that. We were never 22. And we never ever arrived late for a meeting or put out headphones on when we shouldn't. That would make us bad apples

Although I think that chap as wrong about Berahino, you can see the talent and he's only likened to Defore because he's black, Poch had made mistakes in the market so we can't always believe it's the right call
