And that's certainly a possibility - but given what happened in the summer, and if we really do want to bring him in, it should come to a point that we draw a line and offer them an amount that we think they'll accept coinciding with the maximum we're prepared to pay, or we should just move on to other targets - although I'm worried we don't have any other targets and will continue to play games with Peace all the way up to the deadline.

Surely the big picture dictates that we get this done if indeed this is the player we really want.

We're not talking about being a million miles away in valuations - probably more to do with ego at this stage and who thinks they've come out on top in terms of getting the better deal.

I read the article and reread the article and I keep missing the part where it said that West Brom said they'd accept £18mil.
Kudos to the chairman who turns down £25mil in September to accept seven million less in January and then have the player turn it down anyway.

I don't usually get involved with ratings but how the fuck has this received two 'spam' ratings? Especially when the correct one to use is there staring you in the face. If people used the ratings properly there might be a bit less conflict about them all the time.

I have a feeling it's a "revenge ratings game" with that particular poster. Pretty pathetic, but not without precedent on here. Personally, I think the Spam rating should only be able to be used by the Mods as at the end of the day they have more interest on what is or isn't on topic.

Yeah its something that happens, I can't remember who it was now (well I can but lets be nice and claim not) who embarked on a massive tit-for-tat ratings war. One took note of our intervention and is still posting the other didnt. And isn't.
