I stated this in another thread but it kind of went under the radar, I am sure anyone else that watched the Villa game would have heard the commentator. I can't rememeber which comentator it was but he said that Ledley said that since Parker joined Ledly had ran 1/4 of the distance he used to prior to Scotty signing.

Parker has been significant in his own right doing what has to be done RUN, pressure, tackle, short pass. In doing this he has allowed Ledly to go about his business with less of a workload and that IMO is worth a great prasie. King and Parker both starting and finishing a game seems a recipy for success.

I have watched Parker very closely over the last few televised games, no he isn't flamboyant, no he doest take risks but he has the attributes needed to be a legend. His best attributes are clear and to be honest probably the hardest to carry out. He's disiplined, hard working, determined and probably the most important PROUD. When I say proud I mean if he does give the ball away, he takes the responsibility and the leadership to be the man to get it back and I feel this mindset is rubbing off on the team, he is like a midfield Ledley. I know there have been threads regarding him before but I fell what he has contributed to prolonging Ledleys playing has gone unoticed.

Oh also, he was a target of Harrys for a good fes seasons, maybe if we had him last season we would have finished higher.

Anyway signing out a proud YID!

He seems to thrive in the last 20 minutes of the game because of his work even harder mentality as others drop off. Even in the last 10 min he is still regularly going from box to box with so much energy, that's quite remarkable or crazy

He was good the whole second half yesterday which is why we suddenly played better. He wasn't at the races in the first at all.

Adebayor is far more imPortant than Parker IMO and his contributions have been superior

Its the kind of thing that cant be trained or instilled in a player, its just in him. Its a failure to conceed and a pride in himself, I have hada few Jamiesons but I know what i see, he is the driving force and spirt we have missed for a decade or more. At 31 he looks like he has at least 2 years left in him.

Biglad its not often but I dont agree, yes I believe Ade has been huge going forward and allowing our midfielers to contribute but I think that the reason we are picking up the points away and digging in is Parker. Everything Modric has done nearly 100% of the time comes from a short pass from Scotty.

They've both made an equal contribution IMO.

Adebayor was everywhere. He was constantly on the left or right wing, holding it up, then getting in the box. There were times when he was in centre mid holding to fort. he is an absolute beast of a forward.

If Parker and King play consistently together for the rest of this season and maintain this kind of form then they should be in the England squad. If Parker is the key to keeping Ledley fit and they work so well together it would be a travesty not to take them.

I, for one, would suddenly be much more excited to watch an England with a Spurs spine. And England winning the Euros with Ledley at the heart of it would be so awesome...I think I'd cry a little!

Im Northern Irish so I have to say that I want Ledley to say thanks but no thanks to International football. Yes I would luv the world to know how goos he is but I want him to stay as fit as possible, Scotty has the heart and legs to do the bussiness for club and country .

It's not so much that it matters to me - I'd rather see him lift the CL with us - but I'm pretty sure it would mean a great deal to him. Imagine spending the last half decade watching a limited racist take your place, just because his knees are better than yours!

Point taken, if he could go and come out on the other side no worse for it I would be all for it!

He's more important because Sandro can easily fill the void if Parker is injured or suspended. If ade's fucked then So are we. Could you imagine if we had pav and Defoe up there today? Even though Defoe scored a great goal he was useless in the first half and up until his goal he was better but still making the wrong decisions wiu regards to not passing and being selfish.

As for pavlolchenko...

So yeah whilst I e been very impressed to parkers contributions, ade is more important and as narnil said, his contributions have been just as good (IMO better)

It seemed to me that he was playing his usual deep game the first half then in the second, after he was probably told to, he moved further up and he became involved in most of the offensive plays we did. I thought he did fantastic.

Parker is an excellent attacking midfielder as well as holder.

At Charlton where he played IMO even better than during his spells at Chelsea, Newcastle and even West Ham, he had Matt Holland alongside him as the holder and Parker was the play maker.

Now at Spurs we obviously have Modric for that meaning that Parker tends to be the one to sit deeper, but if like yesterday Modric isn't available and Sandro starts Parker should really be encourage to press forward.
