Would you rather we played like a Championship side then? Without the class, but with everyone just fighting?

Flair players don't always have the work rate to match the players without, because often they don't need it. In this case I would say Berbatov definitely does not, and I'm perfectly happy with the way he plays. You need a mix of these kind of players. As it goes Tottenham have often just had flair players, but not any fighters. I'd like to us to get in a central midfielder or two who fights, but I damn sure don't want to see a team full of them. It's not the team I support. I don't support West Brom. I support Tottenham.

We all like flair player at Tottenham, and agreed watching Berbatov play is nothing short of stunning, he has everything a player needs. I accept the fact that he would not be running around like a loon every game, its not what flair players do or need to do.

What does bother me is his body language, Jol has basically said there was a problem, Now his Dad has come out and said hes unhappy. This may or may not be true. But its times like this, when our club has been and is continuing to be dragged through the mud by the media, that our top class players, that represent our club should show the pride and character worthy of wearing the shirt and i dont mean running around like a loon, i mean putting your chin up and acting like your part of not just the team but the club as well.

Unfortunately Berbatov does look like somebody has just asked him to step out for the steam train in wiltshires sunday moring league

Ive heard that before - just like the Carrick saga eh Nicdic?

I was correct with what I said all along about Carrick. The thing with all this Berbatov stuff, is that everything said by the club, or the player has been about him staying. Everything in the media, says he is leaving. His attitude is exaclty the same as last year, nothing has changed there, the papers are just using it as another excuse to give us bad press.

We all know what Ramos did with Kanoute, just imagine what he could do with Berba.

Sell Berbatov
DO NOT BRING BACK KANOUTE!

What for are we bringing back Kanoute. The issue here is Berbatov is a 2nd rate Anelka. ANelka might sulk, but not on the pitch. Anelka might sulk but he can still score 20 goals even without the frickin midfield.
Berbatov is overated. He's just a better Samaras.

Now you're getting silly.

I would sell him and look to bring in someone who is a bit more hungry. Ability is obviously a precious commodity but only when application and attitude is there too.

Kanoute is lazier than Berbs.

His style just suits the Spanish game better.

Berbs isn't lazy, he's just a moody shit right now - either pick up your toys Berbs or fuck off.

No one is bigger than Spurs, end of.

If I was Berbatov, I'd be angling for a move away. Might get some decent service then.

I think that should Fredi return he might havea a better stint with us, our midfield was even worse when he was playing for us, with that slight improvement & utilising the Hudds passing ability Kanoute could be good for us.

Jol says Berbatov is as talented as the best European footballer ever, Cascarino says he bears comparision to the most perfect center forward of all time. Istead of making a fantastic career, he is playing for a team that is going to fight to escape relegation. That's utterly depressing, mates! How could he be happy? Why should he want to stay and play with Jenas, Tainio, Zokora etc? Get real, the man wants to achieve something that corresponds to the level of his talent. He doesn't want to play for fans who (are prone to) call him a pathetic Bulgaria t*at, a disgrace etc. He loves all the fans who appreciate his skills and because of his respect to them he didn't hand in a transfer request n the summer when Man U showed interest in signing him. But he wants to achieve something great. He's more talented than Stoichkov but hasn't won anything yet. That's depressing for him, he feels like a big underachiever. If he was like Maradona, perhaps he could win big tropheys with Spurs but he is not that good...

Berbatov is not committed to the cause enough for my liking.

he's great when everything is going well, but as soon as things get tough he bottles it.

Nicdic, all along you said Carrick was staying when the press said opposite. You said you knew that he was staying and you were wrong - but anyway, thats another story.

I dont want to sell Berbs, and I agree that Ramos could do great things with Berbs, but if he dont want to be here like his bodylanguage suggests, then get rid.

And, yes, he is a casual player, but no he's not the same as last year.

Reluctantly i have to agree with Dimi's brother on this one. The guy is potentially one of the greats, and the greats all want to win something. Spurs' ambitions match Dimi's but Spurs' potential achievements just dont match up with what he wants to achieve.

So let him go (preferably out of England) and cash in...

you've all whipped yourselves up into quite a frenzy over this. it's interesting to watch, cos there's been no new facts uncovered or definitive quotes reported. but someone said they don't think berbs is committed cos of how he warmed up for a game, and that's slowly moved to people taking that lack of commitment as fact. then a paper that hasn't had anything good to say about spurs for years 'quotes' berbatov senior, and now it looks like the majority of this board think the best player we've had in my lifetime should go.

you're the tabloid's bitches. spread a bit wider for them.

How often do you get to spurs? spurs fans are NOT prone to calling him a twat etc. In fact, even tho his attitude stinks and his body language does nothing to warrant us loyal fans chanting his name, we still do it every week.

so stop the sob stories for berbs, he is playing for one of the most famous clubs in the world, finished 5th last year and is one of the reasons we are struggling this year. He isnt blameless for this seasons shit start. Keane is the only player who has given his all. He is still scoring in a poor side, and it is those players that stand out. Berbs on the other hand should pick his Bulgarian arse dummy up and crack on and help get us back up that table.

FFS, who do i feel more sorry for - Berbs, Myself or the club?

The club, myself and then Berbs, in that order.

This is a game played by professionals, well i tell you something Batiboy or Berbati whatever your name is, its about time Berbs started tio act like one.

In germany he was known as a lazy genius. It's who he is. Last season represented his most consistent seasson ever interms of goals, assits and performances over a long stretch of months. It was common place for him to be average before chrsitmas and then kick on in a big way from January onwards. What we all percieve in body language in him now to be so bad the Levekusen fans woudl shrug and say "dis is Vat he does".
I want him to stay and i'll accept his lackluster moments as a payoff for seeing the moments of magic, the reason i love football so much. and when he has a dip in form again i'll remind myself the good stuff gonna happen again soon. Just like I did with Ginola (who had twice the games and less than half the end product) who some still say is thier favourite ever player.

Yes he is casual and laid back, but last season his movement allbeit in burts showed he was hungry. its different this year, at the game you can see his body language and constant moaning. The tv hides this as it doesnt follow him solely.

He's a different man this year.

IF he wants out, and man utd want him that badly then why dont we ask for carrick in exchange? they'll either say yes (which i highly doubt) or up there original bid and we get more cash
