Hello All

Is it unreasonable for me to expect my wife to let me go to Lyon when she will be 34 weeks pregnant? (the last baby came at 37 weeks)

I would only be gone for 24 hurs at the most but seems that is deemed unacceptable.

This would probably be my last chance of an european away trip this season even if we do progress

surely in this day and age there are certain drugs available to prolong pregnancies for emergencies just like this :)

Seriously, hmmmmmmmm. Difficult one, i guess it's getting pretty close to the baby being born (congratuations by the way, you tiger) so i can understand her being worried that it will come without you being there and not being there to support her. On the other hand, the likelyhood is low that it would happen then and at worst, you could jump on a plane back from Lyon should it happen and be back in 4-5 hours, and labour lasts quite a bit longer than that normally, youd just be missing the boring opening exchanges before the main show begins.

I guess the wife has to come first but i recon you can argue it round

She is being very unreasonable surely she can give birth(should the baby come early) while you having a great time watching the mighty spurs in Lyon. If i were you i would also point out to her, you did all the hard work in the first place getting her pregnant, once she's mulled that over in her head for a while, i am sure she will see sense ;)

I would go but then I am a bit of a wanker

Plus I don't have a wife, but if my girlfriend is pregnant I would go regardless

Well...if she had been more careful in the first place...

Just go. Don't be talked down. Be your own man.

And when the thumb on your forehead starts to cause a burning sensation, that is when you cave in and tune into ITV4.

Good luck with this one :)

It is a tricky one to be fair, I would say if it was your first child, then no go, however, as this doesn't seem to be the case I would give her some old flim flam about how nice it would be for Granny to be at the birth. I tried that one and it worked a treat :)

That last part is gunna be difficult if you're a wanker and if by chance she is get on jezza for some DNA testing (y)

Surely, before getting stuck across the other half, any football fan worth his salt checks the fixture lists and any possible cup dates and then figures out the ramifications should one of his evil little tadpoles get through.

Having said that...........Any bird worth her salt would actually TELL you to go to the game. Usually, i'd say that you've got to give her the spanish archer and get a more understanding mrs, but to be fair, you caused this by 'football calendar neglect' or FCN as we like to call it. After a nanoseconds thought, I think you must miss the game and be a modern man who is in touch with his feminine side and his partners needs.

Then we can rip the piss out of you ;)

34 weeks is very, very early, the chances of her dropping then are pretty damn slim. Sounds to me like she just wants an excuse to stop you going...

Don't be a twat. Stay at home and watch it on the telly. I can't believe you're even asking.

probably not the best idea to ask on here, a spurs forum where some people probably would happily be arse raped by the whole squad.

there are more important things in life than a match. i'm not being a little bitch that's just how it is. and you can watch it on tv.

for the record, i'm only 23 and don't have a wife or kids, but that's what i'd do.
