It certainly showed how good the stadium acoustics are, single voices could be heard from south stand or thereabouts quite easily in north stand.Good to know. Do u think the stadium's acoustics played into it?

You can't ban people. This isn't North Korea.
Just no. If you’re going to entertain the idea of a ‘queen’ in 2022, then I hope it gets backlash at every opportunity.I really hope the people who couldn’t keep their mouths shut and opinions to themselves are named/shamed/identified and are made extremely unwelcome at our great club, by the vast majority of our fans who are/were impeccable
You're right, this is the UK where you will be arrested for standing peacefully holding a piece of paper with "Not my King" written on it.
Not even sure it needed to be announced for this one. I mean it was clearly going to be done for the Queen.Isn't it normally announced prior to the game and at the game? The club announced we were doing it. It was expected as well being the first game in this country for us after it happened.

I doubt that but I hope so, for their sake too. What good is a life of unearned wealth and privilege if you have to deal with your fawning ‘subjects’ at every turn. The queen was the biggest prisoner on Earth, and what’s being done to the children born into this shitshow seems like a form of abuse. She just died. One minute to stay quiet is all that’s being asked. Plenty of time after the funeral for people (including myself) to voice disagreement at the monarchy. Its potentially the beginning of the end. Just wait.

Based on the ratings that might be the most divisive post I’ve written on SC and I was only being a bit facetious. Funny how some might interpret that to mean I am somehow in agreement that they shouldn’t be punished or that what they did was fine. It wasn’t and is foul behavior. Apologies if anyone was offended by my comment. And thought I was in support of what they did. I am not. It was some of the suggested measures to be taken against them I thought could be a little heavy handed and dangerous.Doxing them? Banning them? Shaming them? Bit draconian, mate! ?
"Riggi takes it up the...." I couldn't hear the last as they were being shushed.Did anyone hear what was shouted out? Swear it was just a couple of shouts of noise but couldn’t hear what was said??
You can't ban them for not observing the minute's silence. Freedom of speech includes the right to shock and offend, so long as what you're saying isn't illegal (i.e. racist etc).It would be very easy for the club to review footage and identify those that disrespected the minutes silence. Simply ban them.
I am not saying arrest them or put them in prison. Simply stop individuals that want to act that way from attending our games in future. It is totally within the club's discretion to decide who they want to enter their stadium or not. So yes, you can ban them. And I am not talking about accidental disruptions (where people enter from the concourse singing or shouting without realising there is a minutes silence in progress). I am talking about individuals who deliberately disrespect a minutes silence to offend the 10's of thousands of people who are observing it.You can't ban them for not observing the minute's silence. I am in the camp of showing respect, despite not being a "Royalist" I think the death of Elizabeth has weirdly brought a divided country somewhat together. Off topic, yes, but I'm just saying my personal belief is that the minute's silence ought to have been respected. But that doesn't mean I have the right to assert my belief on someone who thinks it better to shout during the minute's silence.
Banning people for a political view is pretty much the tactics used by the Kremlin. Someone who deliberately disrespect's a minute's silence, is exactly that: disrespectful. It's distasteful, rude & in my opinion, wrong. But that's my opinion. We are going backwards in what people can and can't say. We are limiting freedom of speech. This is a scenario where the expression (shouting or singing during a minute's silence) is deemed wrong by a vast majority. But that doesn't mean we have the right to limit that one person's right to shout or sing.I am not saying arrest them or put them in prison.
