Absolutely not
When he took over we were floating around mid-table going nowhere. WHL was tired and too small, Spurs Lodge was basic

We are now a competitive club who is in Europe most seasons. Have world class training ground & stadium. Have the 8th largest income in world football.

Regrettably the only glaring failure is silverware.

The ESL was a shit show. But I’d rather have been part of the conversation than not. 10 years ago we’d have not had a sniff at it

The stadium was 2 years late. Well ten if you count when it was meant to be built. Massively over budget too. With an NFL pitch in it ffs.

He has decades of misjudgment.

This is his legacy now. This will never be forgotten.

In what universe was the stadium supposed to have been built by 2009?

And no, it wasn’t massively over budget. There is a huge difference between over budget and a revised budget. The increased cost of building the Tottenham Hotspur stadium was an entirely deliberate commercial decision that will pay for itself many times over.

More pertinently, though, if generally slagging off Levy and ENIC is your aim (and it’s a perfectly valid aim), then take it to the ENIC thread. This thread is specifically about Spurs’ part in the ESL fiasco and what consequences it has for Levy.

If you have a moment, compare the Arsenal statement with Levy’s statement. Jesus.

Are you all as mad as you would have been if we'd have been left behind and the gravy train took off to the hills?

Levy in.

Id rather be back there than competing in a money lead league, choosing who gets a chance to compete yet remaining as a club safe in the barrels of money. We should have grasped hold of the ideals set down that our club was built on.

very poor nearly men

I am totally against the ESL, but as many have mentioned already if it did happen the only way we survive is to be part of it.

if it happened without us the TV deals, sponsorships, and even the prize money for the PL would have dropped big time. the money the club has lost this last 13 months has hurt big time factoring in all the things it can host. Yes I know every team in the country has been hit by this pandemic, but not everyone has the debts we have.

Dude. With respect. And this isn’t hindsight. Most people called this as bullshit from the moment these fools announced it. I certainly did.

it was dead on arrival.

it was illegal. It didn’t make sense football wise. It wasn’t economically viable. It had no media partners. It was morally bankrupt.

it was a joke. To even the untrained eye It was a calamity.

The fall out from this will have implications for a long time for us. We are pariahs thanks to this greedy fool. A bigger joke than we already had become under Enic.

No. Turning down the invitation would have been committing potential financial suicide. If he was an instigator of the proposal it is a different story tho, but it appears the Americans where the initiators.

Yes
how can anyone believe a word he says from now on?
how can the supporters trust deal with him
let’s not forget this was Levy’s second attempt to turn us into a franchise...the move to Stratford was no gambit, he was serious
i don’t give a frack about a few per cent here and there on the spreadsheets
I want integrity and values returned to our club.
to achieve that he has to go

Personally I always felt the Stratford thing was his way of putting pressure on Tottenham council...

So the Super League was a way of putting pressure on UEFA? Levy is a liar, we have evidence now, and as a supporter of him I feel a right mug, continue to spin it.

Whether you all like it or not, Levy always puts the CLUB first, even if it means putting Football and the fans second.

That's what any custodian worth his salt does.

Clearly not because it lasted two days.

This whole debacle has all but proven these owners (and the other six clubs) don't care about us.

None of us.

They did this on the sly because they knew it was back stabbing and shady, and showed no compassion when it all went to shit.

This club is run as a brand, first and foremost, not a football club.

They were prepared to risk it all, our heritage, all our history.

Erm, I didn’t say anything about the super league, only the Stratford thing?

Maybe re-read my post and take a breath lol.

I want ENIC out but not for this. He would have been mad not to do it. Can't believe I'm actually saying this
