Whether you all like it or not, Levy always puts the CLUB first, even if it means putting Football and the fans second.

That's what any custodian worth his salt does.

Levy in.

Putting Spurs first and shafting the national game aren't exclusive, I believed in him but what has happened this week is just BS. Feel free to neg rep but at least debate the fucking point.

Oh so we were a lap dog? Cool I am so much happier now.
Surely you can see how difficult it is to turn down the invitation though? If it happened and we turned it down on a moral basis we we would be in an inferior stratosphere financially. I am not saying we are innocent in this but simply accepting the invitation is a lot more defendable than actually instigating the proposal.

Erm, I didn’t say anything about the super league, only the Stratford thing?

Maybe re-read my post and take a breath lol.

Ur avoiding the point, we signed up to the SL as a lap dog, we were never gonna be successful competitively in such a format. Yes we would have raked in cash for the use of our stadium, but competitive.... no fucking way.

Are you all as mad as you would have been if we'd have been left behind and the gravy train took off to the hills?

Levy in.

I always love these posts that assume we'd all have the reaction you'd have in your head.

Sorry you’re talking crap at the moment and just rambling nonsense, looking for a verbal fight with people.

My original post was in relation to the Stratford thing and nothing to do with the super cup.

I’m not avoiding any point as I never said anything about the super cup in my post you incorrectly quoted in the first place!

I totally understand why, but how can Levy's talk of doing things the "right way" be tied in with this Super league? I am not here to take a high ground, I defended him to the hilt for years, but this.... NAH doesn't wash at all.

Would have been fine with it. Rather be enjoying Spurs at a boisterous Villa Park than eating prawn sandwiches at a sterile Manchester stadium.

I am not looking to fight with anyone, I rarely neg rep and haven't done so with anything to do with this.

Just explain to me how we can be a club wanting to do things right, and from a footballing stance can live with this suggested football league? I haven't been aggressive, in any way shape or form, I'm angry with the club, our club who have lied about every principle they tried to sell us on.

Why should I when my original post was about the Stratford move?

1. It does not matter. He is the executive and he is responsible for toeing the line or refusing to.
2. Again, doesn't matter what the rationale was for a decision. If it goes south the person making the decision is still responsible.
3. No, it isn't easy. But he doesn't get a bye into the next round. That's leadership for you.
Yes and he’s rightly criticised as I say. But it’s not worth removing him. Why cut your nose off to spite your face? People make bad decisions all the time. I do and I’m sure you do. What matters is when you add up everything something does, is it net positive or net negative? With Levy, it’s overwhelmingly net positive. He stays and we should hope he stays for a long time yet.

HE HAS LIED TO YOU. Remember we do things a different way at Spurs... yeah like fuck we do.
Just a friendly recommendation but it’s probably worth having a breather and stepping away from the keyboard for 10 mins. We’ve all been there, I’ve posted some right nonsense on here when the red mist descends. The last few days have been a bumpy ride.

Tell me how what you have quoted me on is in any way wrong? I'm perfectly fine btw, i simply know when I have been sold a turkey.

Oh dear Lordy...

What? ON a fan forum being asked a question and that is your response? I respect Levy and what he has done for us, feel free to go back and see my defence for him, but *oh dear lordy* doesn't cut it, he has lied to us about his direction, its plain as day. I'm the first to admit that, I have respected ur comments and your humour through out the years but as a fan base if we cant discuss this without shitty responses and ridicule what's the point?

Dude. With respect. And this isn’t hindsight. Most people called this as bullshit from the moment these fools announced it. I certainly did.

it was dead on arrival.

it was illegal. It didn’t make sense football wise. It wasn’t economically viable. It had no media partners. It was morally bankrupt.

it was a joke. To even the untrained eye It was a calamity.

The fall out from this will have implications for a long time for us. We are pariahs thanks to this greedy fool. A bigger joke than we already had become under Enic.

well if you called it as bullshit the moment it was announced, what's your problem.

yes, it was illegal, but only on the timing of announcing, if they had done it once the season was over it would have been legal. the part about economically viable and no media partners, that was going to be financed by 1 of the richest men on the planet, and the media side would of be sold to some other rich company.

the fallout? yes if it had happened and failed definitely, as it won't happen what fallout will there be. the other 14 clubs haven't asked for us to all be demoted, and why? because they need the big clubs to draw the money. if all 6 teams were demoted, then as I said above the TV deals will collapse.

That's not our choice really, can i ask do you not feel embarrassed being part of this? If not, why not?

just asking if we hadn't been asked to join, or had and it went ahead how do you think we would have survived?
