I'm curious - which other big club are you looking at, and thinking "I wish we had their chairman"? If you think we get rid of Levy and suddenly become Premier League winners, I want some of what you're smoking.
I am really confused by this post. Why do you think people are angry with Levy because we aren’t table of the table? Have you not seen any news in the last 48 hours....

The only person who could get us a place at the top table without selling out to a sheik, criminal or despot.

But he won't get any credit.

So, to all of you wanting him out, who do you want to replace him?
Why the doh @yidboy123 ? Seems a sensible question to ask, no?
That's not our choice really, can i ask do you not feel embarrassed being part of this? If not, why not?
I do feel upset at the events of the past two days yes, and if I felt that we’d be better run by someone else easily identifiable absolutely I’d suggest Levy should go for this, but without knowing how viable that is I err on the side of ‘well he’s done more good than bad so let’s see what happens next’. Doesn’t make my question any less relevant... if you want him go, with whom do you replace him?
Bill Gates.
Now that is a solid answer. Much love!

He's still at the top table with shiekhs, criminals and despots. Forming a protectionist cartel with them.

Levy and his family part owns ENIC, nearly a third I think.

Yes. This.

There is a difference between an "Ed Woodward" style (deputy?) chairman (whatever he was), and Daniel Levy who owns, what, 30% of the company that owns the majority of the club (with the other 70% owned by another bloke, who was probably pushing the wealth grab more).

So who in that situation is going to say "you've got to walk"? The board of directors? There is zero chance DL doesn't have enough support of the rest of them (https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/the-club/investor-relations/club-directors/) or a casting vote. If someone would like to read the articles on Companies House and check then you can.

He's done a brilliant job off the field, and from where the club was on the field when he arrived, pretty bloody well there too.

In this instance I don't honestly see what he could've done differently. He has to look after the best interests of the club, not uefa, the epl or the other clubs. If he'd said no and the club was effectively sidelined forever then there would be people calling for his head for that reason.

Tottenham and Levy are not the problem with football as it stands today.

Yep. The only way that Daniel will leave is by way of a takeover.

Again we don't have the choice to elect the next CEO, this isn't a ENIC out thread, that's not the point I was trying to make. Levy made himself a man of football, doing things the right way, building a club through infrastructure and academy, self sustaining, not going out and buying a trophy... these were his words. He made us all buy into this ideal, he then decided to join an antifootball, anti sport league where there was a multi million pound pay-out every season no mater how badly we performed with no threat of relegation. This was a U-turn to everything that made me support him. The true kicker for me here is, if I am being honest is we have no fucking right to be in this league other than money and a fantastic stadium. As a club we are totally confused to what the fuck we are supposed to be doing.

Thank you for calling me a tool.

What tool am I?

A saw?

A screwdriver?

A bolt?

I HAVE TO KNOW!!!!

Also, not sure you’ll find one post from me either overtly supporting ESL or saying it would make us successful.

Edit: I see you edited before my post loaded. Good for you. But BBLG remembers all...

I mean how are we too know who is available to run the ins and outs of a club?! They shouldn't be recognized figures to the public and rarely ever are?! If a new owner comes in they will likely bring someone in from their corporation.

This isn't transfer deadline day for chairman's, owners hanging their heads out the window.

Can destroy owners' painstakingly planned £3.5bn revenue projects though, can't it? Which can have ripple effects that could very plausibly see owners get cold feet and look to move themselves out of football.
Good luck with that. We'll resume this in 5 years if that's ok.

Agree to an extent with this. As much as I despise the decision, if the ESL went ahead and the financial gap grew bigger between us and the rest, just at the point when we were starting to catch up, I don't think fans would be praising his integrity when we couldn't buy their shiny new player because there was absolutely zero ability of us competing for signings with these bigger clubs.

Who do you want to replace him?
A rich Arab,a Russian
Or a local decent lad from N17

Unfortunately whoever comes in will want to do what Levy does, but probably not so well
It's a tough old world out there I'm afraid

Whilst I get your point, those aren’t the only options

Ideally this ESL situation kickstarts change across the game and we implement 50+1.

That said, I’m certain nothing will change.

Off the pitch I completely agree but on it I think he has got extremely lucky. Started really with Jol who was only brought in as assistant and got the job because Santini was a disaster. Redknapp was an emergency appointment because Ramos wouldve relegated us. And Pochettino was 2nd/3rd choice to take the job, barely supported with incomings and well he pretty much created miracles and STILL didnt let him take us to the next level.

I think ESL changed my mind about him wanting glory for this club unfortunately and thats a shame.
