Personally I'd rather they'd won at Wham. I'd like to see the Spammers get relegated and pools next two fixtures are Sunderland and manu, they weren't going to catch us anyway but after those two games it would have calmed some people's nerves it would seem.

After today's results, we may have a better chance for 4th. City are 3 pts ahead & played one more than us. Liverpool are probably too far behind to catch us.
City isn't the issue anymore IMO. It's Chelsea. We stay ahead of them and we're there.

I've watched both Liverpool vs Prague and today against West Ham, they were awful in both games. The honeymoon is over for Daglish

If you think about it Azrael that much is obvious, stay ahead of chelsea then by default we must finish at least 4th:). Only joking I know what you mean and I agree with you, Chelsea are more likely to finish fifth than City, finish above them and we'll be 3rdI reckon.

Good. The minute "King Kenny" came back the scousers became insufferable again.

Well, what I am getting at really is that I don't much care about 3rd as long as we get CL again, thus staying ahead of Chelscum is my only concern. Sure, 3rd would be a silver lining but in comparison 5th would be greatly dissapointing.

We have another opportunity against Wolves to make the most out of a game in hand after todays results.

Glad Wolves got a big win, always harder to lift yourselves after a high, and that was their biggest winning margin in the Prem.

We can get the likes of Bale, Hudd, Kaboul and maybe even King back we are going to be looking extremely strong come the last 8 or 9 games.

Great results today and safe to say that is Liverpool's brief flirt well and truly stamped out...even better was City's result though...with Brum topping it off!

That's a rather misguided concern.

Our aim should be to finish 3rd. It will be pretty heartbreaking to finish 4th ahead of Chelsea only for them to win the CL and push us into the Europa League.

I think you are misguided if you think that is a likely scenario

we should be aiming as high as we can and third is still a realistic possibility given how tight is...with such fine margins it would be foolish to only aim for fourth and costly if their was some sort of sucker punch.

Totally agree.

I'm not actually sure how you even aim for 3rd/4th/5th/6th. Do you deliberatelly lose matches if you think you might exceed your target!??!

Exactly!....you try and win as many as you can irrespective of what the opposition are doing...but obviously you're keeping a close eye on what they're doing.

The "aim" should only ever be for 1st....but sureluy this is about what would be classed as a successful season for us?

I agree with most of what you say. But a big win for Wolves can only improve their confidence and their determination to fight for survival. And a big loss would have had them smarting and out to prove themselves better next time out. An injury time odd goal loss leaving them gutted and pointless would have been my preferred option.
