This is one or the reasons I didn't want Saggy Chops back in the Prem, he concerns himself too much with other clubs and thinks he owes us something by constantly talking about us.

“It must be tough [for someone in Jan’s situation],” Redknapp told Standard Sport. “He’s a fantastic player. We agreed to sign him when I was in charge. I watched him play on several occasions.

So what - who the fuck even cares!

Clearly lots of people do... Stories about Spurs sell papers... Hence people are asked questions about Spurs...
Where's the bile for LVG talking about him being a Spurs fan as a kid? Surely he shouldn't be talking about us? He's not even managed us. WTF has his opinion on Spurs got to do with anything?

Since when has LVG been known to constantly open his mouth on anything regarding Spurs? Since when has LVG given the media sound bites on nearly every Spurs related news?

The problem is the media knows that Harry talks a good game so they're gonna ask him questions about a favourable topic and he'll give an answer or his opinion regardless.

People read selectively - or don't bother to read past the headline - and then trot out the same old content-free clichés. No one seems to have noted his conclusion:

I knew he was going to be a top player, and I’m sure he’ll settle back in at Tottenham and have a good season next year.

Yap, yap, yap, blah, blah, blah... Zzzzzzz

If Poch turns out to be a decent manager, there's no reason for Levy to make a change for a while. If you look back at the managers we've had and why they left, it actually makes sense why they were sacked. Obviously there's an argument for why some of them were employed in the first place but there you go!

Hoddle: Man-management issues, general personality clashes etc.

Pleat: Caretaker manager (convicted curb crawler)

Santini: Unmitigated disaster, say no more.

Jol: Took us as far as his abilities would allow. Lost the trust of the board. Cruel and ruthless way to go for a nice bloke like him.

Ramos: Could have, should have, but lost the dressing room. Couldn't speak English. Disaster, but won a cup! - position untenable.

Clive Allen: Caretaker manager.

Harry: Brilliant start, exceeded all expectations. However huge intellectual limitations with regards to tactics and media interviews started to show through. Embarrassing tax evasion court case, followed by England job fiasco, with endless big mouthed antics, along with a dip in team form (resulting in not qualifying for CL) - Position untenable.

AVB: Much promise, but no plan B coupled with stubborn, self defeating tactics and relationships with certain players. Too many heavy, humiliating defeats - position untenable.

Tim: Caretaker manager with delusions of greatness. Not enough experience, intellectually retarded and no idea how to talk to the media. Even if the club hadn't already planned to bin him off at the end of the season, his big mouth would have eventually done the job for them!

Poch: ????

How was his disastrousness mitigated? I suspect you missed an "un" ... levy's first foray into the exotic.

"Star names", my arse. Not one of them been through a proper test of character and come out with head held high. Lightweights, almost to a man.

(Oh, and I like Harry. I'd have a ploughman's and a pint with him.)

It's amazing how one throw-away comment Redknapp made about Pavlyuchenko (and even then we don't know if he actually said that) is still used against him.

As usual, it's Harry answering questions rather than him holding a press conference to talk about how he thinks Vertonghen might be feeling.

But why do the media say Harry 'admits' it, like he is still a Tottenham insider. He doesn't even root for spurs any more so why are they wording it like that. It annoys me, it shouldn't but it does.

about redknapp rooting for spurs
i don't think he ever really rooted for spurs
harry looked after harry
this is shown in its full glory when the england job came available
he al most ignored what was going on at spurs all his attention was directed towards getting the england job
