I think Kyren will never quite make it, he will always been in and around the business end of tournaments but can't see him ever win the big one.

I think the two who can break up the usual suspects of winning are Yan and Lisowski. I think Lisowski has come on massively in the past couple of years, very much following the path that Judd did, played the naughty snooker for a long time but has now become more disciplined and it's starting to pay off, had a couple finals in recent seasons and was 1 frame from getting into the semi finals last night.

Would like Ronnie Vs Judd final but I can see it being Higgins Vs Williams.

I find Higgins uncomfortable to watch, looks like he's struggling to breathe!

I just think Lisowski still has a fair way to go, especially if we're talking about world champ/long format. HIs safety is still quite a way below the top guys, and I'd say also his positional/cue ball control also needs to sharpen up when break building. He's got all the talent, putting the work in, and taking steps forward because of that, but still a bit too "fly by the seat of your pants" at the moment.

yeah I don’t see anyone outside of the 6 you mentioned winning the worlds for at least 2/3 years. Which is when I think the likes of Yan and Lisowski will be further advanced and in a better position to challenge.

But I think he needed this run at the worlds to give him confidence that he can compete with the best. I mean Robertson was the play of the season and he matched him throughout then got the decider.

This semi finals - Trump Williams has been one of the best and certainly one of the best semi finals. Just great and Williams really is superb

Williams has played really in the second half of the game, but Trump has had so much bad luck!

Not a massive fan of Trump but something about O'Sullivan Vs Trump, hope they can both get over the line.

Yeah he has - i think both have made one or two simple mistakes which no doubt comes from the pressure and understandable given how tight this is now after the first 7 1 session

That was the final I wanted but soemthing about a Williams O'Sullivan final that would be great and proper old school

Agreed, great to still see those guys still going, but how many times have we seen O'Sullivan and Williams over the years.

At least with O'Sullivan Vs Trump I have someone to support.

Williams' comeback was just fantastic, but then roles were reversed in those last couple of frames. At 15-16 and then wildly missing the long opener in the penultimate frame you could see Judd visibly shaking in his seat and then on a few shots, he got it together though and got himself over the winning line. Thought Mark in contrast slightly rushed the (admittedly tricky) colour shots after those two flukes, and after all that effort composure just went a little for him at the end. Great match though.

Ronnie is playing like I haven't seen before. Been extremely cautious at times, exaggerating his pre-shot routine, considerably more considerate on his shot choice and so a slower pace/average shot time, getting the balls cleaned frequently to both gather himself and eliminate the chance of a kick.... really almost a demented focus at times and approaching it like his life depends on it. He's properly exuding how much he wants this one, more than he's ever done previously. It's been ultra disciplined and he's just powered past the opposition really.

As for the final, think a lot will make Ronnie the favourite but it's in the balance for me. Judd has started to score much better the last couple of matches and if he gets the table time and scoring opportunities he will punish much more than some of the other opponents have.

I think Judd has a good record against Ronnie too? In comparison with most other players vs Ronnie.

It should be a cracker, can’t call it, both seem to want this one bad. Think this will properly cement Judd as one of the greatest of all time if he can get that second world title. Whereas Ronnie has been desperate to get level with Hendry for so long.

What a couple days of snooker coming up.
