Spam rate this post all you want it's just a dream anyway. Soon I'll wake up and Bale will be sold and we will sign Bendtner on loan.

Spurs fan for 30 years. Best I can remember, though I was drunk for a lot of those years...

Not even deadline day yet. For the first time in years, I can sit on my arse and watch the deadline day transfers unfold on SSN (with Odemwingie travelling up and down the M1 looking for a club) with ease. Safe in the knowledge that no matter what happens, we are looking good. We may even get a nice present or two on the final day as well.

It may not happen this season, I think the talk of a title is a tad premature, will take time to gel etc, but the near future looks very promising. Amazing.

I'm just soaking it all in and I hope everyone else is as well as this sort of bonkers bounty will likely not happen again in most of our lifetimes.

Even a Bale announcement tonight would struggle to dampen the spirits. What a day!

Lets hope AVB can make it all work now,not going to be easy with so many new comers but I think he's the man to do it.I can only imagine how many people are waiting for us to fall flat on our faces now.

I'm pretty sure we'll still see at least one incoming on deadline day, probably two.

Obviously there will be a few outgoings.

Still will be pretty exciting, safe in the knowledge that its all icing on the cake stuff and not completely dependent for the upcoming season.

I think this is the genius of how we've handled this, what with the 3 signings today. If we announced it tomorrow morning most Spurs fans out there will shrug it off and not be too concerned. It's been coming for weeks now and we're a stronger unit than we were with him last year. Would've been amazing to see him play with these new signings but obviously it's not what he wants to do. Nevermind, his loss!

It's been a very unique few months. Not something we are likely to see again, in a very long time.

amazing few weeks, culminating in today. never has a club done so well selling the star player.
I'm interested to hear what DL has to say post window and what gems he has got out of RM for being arseholes

That's the great thing. A window like this means we won't need to for a while.

For me this summer represents stepping up a level. We've had a team that were capable of pushing for 4th (and briefly 3rd in Harry's last season), but now I genuinely believe we've moved to the level of a team that can consistently compete with the very best, and should be looking at the title as a possibility. I'm not saying I think we'll win it, but that we've got a team and a manager that can legitimately consider that a target.

This is such a solid base for a (young) team that we should be capable of making one or two changes each window for the next few years.

I don't know much about Chiriches or Chadli, and my knowledge of Paulinho is based on little more than the confeds cup and some youtube vids, but I knew enough about Soldado, Capoue, Lamela, and Eriksen to know that I would have been excited with any two of them coming in. To get all four is just incredible.
