You know who you are:

You got everything you wanted: AVB gone, fast pace, open play, Adebayor in and two up front.

Are you happy NOW?

What next? Burn down the Lane? Sack all the players? Maybe next time you'll THINK before opening your mouths at least!

You're amazing. 2 days gone, a bunch of injuries and still trying to pick the confidence up off the floor after it was beaten out of them by AVB and you couldn't wait to make this thread.

Hero.

Well managed teams don't lose 3-0 to West Ham at home. We were supposed to be title contenders!

you really thought selling Bale, and try and fit 7 new players in that not all of them even had a pre-season with us was going to make us title challengers?

as I said their last 2 were on the counter. when are people going to understand if a team parks the bus it makes it very hard to break them down, IF you take the lead the bus doesn't stay parked and allows you more room to hit them for a 2nd. if you concede, then their bus is parked again, but also leaves yourselves even more open to be hit on the counter.

their 1st goal came from a corner, how dare we concede them under any manager, against a team like Wet Spam

If AVB had made those substitutions tonight people would have been scathing. I'm not pro-AVB nor anti-Sherwood, but everybody should at least be critiqued with the same criteria.

What did us was, as you said, pathetic defending and also being generally shit in front of goal, but neither of those things are exclusively the managers doings.

We seem incapable of defending simple thumps up field ... whether it be the constant chopping and changing at the back or a breakdown in communication between Lloris, the defence and midfield.

Granted we have lots of injuries, mainly to key players but instead of going gun-ho we should have kept it solid and protected our fragile defence.

3 central midfielder's was a must tonight.

To be honest.. We lost due to 4-2-3-1 with an unbalanced midfield.. Very much an AVB thing.

What has happened to everybody on here? We mainly lost tonight because our defense is makeshift. The 4-4-2 was better because we carried more of a threat but it is not the answer with 2 wide wingers and no proper dm.
The subs were shocking, the fact that Defoe stayed on the field for 90 minutes was also shocking, Fryers is as bad as naughton, sherwood ' s apparent dislike of our creative new players is beyond belief, overall not a great night.
With a fit squad and a proper manager this season is still very much alive.
As for all of this we got what we wanted crap, well none of the above makes the sacking of avb any less of a necessary move. He had to go.
Let's all try to move on and let go of the partisanship because we are spurs fans and the success of Spurs is all we should care about.

It was clear that even against a crap team it wasn't getting us anywhere.

The wingers did nothing, there was no link between midfield and attack and a better team would have walked through our midfield.

Yes defensive problems ultimately caused the goals but 4-4-2 doesn't and will never work. If it's what Sherwood plans to do then we're screwed. But at the moment that's still an if.

We created openings, not fantastic ones maybe but still a number of half decent ones. As for a link between attack and midfield, I think Adebayor did a good job. I'm not going to say it was a fantastic performance, but that should have been more than enough to see off Spam until the defence had a collective nightmare and stuffed us.

Bull.

That was miles better than anything I've seen this season.

Yes we lost and Deadwood isn't the man. Poor substitutions tonight.

But those who are saying that AVB shouldn't of been sacked and we would somehow would of won tonight with him in charge new their head testing.

AVB has set us back 5 years.

Deadwood out!

Capello or Benitez in now please.

Agreed up until bold. Please no - I´d rather keep Sherwood on a twenty year contract.

West Ham beat us 3-0 last time did they? Sorry, peeps that won't sodding well wash!

The assertion was always that the bad results were AVB's fault ONLY.

OK. He's gone. Finito. Done with. So what's the excuse this time?

Maybe we have a load of payers who need to bed in? Nope - that didn't excuse AVB.

Maybe it's that high line that leaves us exposed at the back. Why did we lose again tonight? Wasn't it our defence?

Or perhaps we've got injuries? Such a shame that all out injuries happened since Monday. Wait a moment!

Or the line striker? Yeah we scored a shedload tonight, didn't we?

Now, the haters have got everything they wanted. Having turned the fanbase into a seething cesspool of negativity, disunity and resentment, this is the fucking result!

Excellent work! You just be really fucking proud!

Jesus Bro you really loved AVB. I've never been so embarrassed top be a Spurs fan than I was during his tenure. I've never seen us humiliated so many times in the same season, and this with arguably the best squad in my lifetime.
I have no idea what you saw in AVB, but I feel for you because it obviously left an indelible mark.

Haha are we really arguing about which type of shite we should have stuck with? But also can I just point out to those who say we should have have stuck to AVB and that everyone who wanted him gone was fickle. Youve given Sherwood 90 minutes and are claiming it proves you right.... how fickle.

442 is stupid. Starting Defoe, Siggurdson, Lennon etc was dumb.

I think the one positive that came out of that debacle is that Ade proved himself and there's no way he would of got the chance under AVB.

Agree. 442 has nothing to do with it, we could have played any formation today but if your plan is to run back and forward endlessly through out the whole game crossing the ball in hope its not going to work any more than the slow methodical approach AVB was trying.

We didn't play any passing game, no build up play, no taking control of the midfield, no attempts to break down the opposition. Just as pointless.

The whole set up was wrong tonight. I'm all for a quicker pace of play but this was real schoolboy football chase the ball, run around like headless chickens. The amount of turnover of possession was atrocious, we had no control of the ball (even running into our own players a few times...) and our "creativity" was still just (despite all the huff and puff) reliant on Townsend or Lennon beating a man and standing up a fight ball to anyone that happened to be there.

100 mile an hour you attack we attack with little in the way of guile or thought.

No thanks Tim I'm gonna pass.

Ade was a positive though.

Did you watch us at Cardiff away? What about at Old Trafford last season? We had some good games under AVB, and some good results. That doesn't mean he should have stayed, but he wasn't a total lame duck either and to make him out as useless from start to finish is revisionist history.

What we've got now, in my opinion, is worse than what we had. So we need a new manager quickly, and we need to move on.

I agree we need a new manager and quickly.

Have read through your post. 'SOME' good games. Very very few. How many times were we saved by a late Bale strike!!

This season you have named 1 game from a possible 26 or something!!!

My opinion is that we were poor since AVB took the reins.

Really? How old are you if you din't mind me asking. You can't be any older than 15 if this is the worse you've witnessed. Sorry if this has outed you and there's some sort of age restriction on this site and you end up getting banned.
