Despite him only starting the Europa, and him coming on after Kane in both league matches, I'd still be amazed if we actually sold Bobby.

We're not going to get a 2nd striker as good as him, and with so many games to play in all comps this year, I'd hope he'd be happy with the amount of playing time he gets, even if Ade pips him in the league games to start with.

I honestly belive that Soldado will be content to play in the cup games. He'll get plenty of them and will especially suit European games more than Premiership ones. I believe this is why Everton brought in Eto'o as they're in the Europa too and will need a bigger squad, not to mention just needing a decent backup in general.

He could end up racking up a fair few goals in the cup games which would give him a decent shout of fighting for a first team place. He seems to get on really well with a lot of players here and seems settled. He's never moaned about not being number 1, so I'm very happy for him to stay. I know £26 mil ended up being too much, but what's done is done, and he's as good a number 2 striker as we're likely to get.

I saw reports saying it was an offer for a loan, which we wouldn't do because loaning him out makes absolutely no sense for us. We've already turned down loan offers for him this summer.

Weird that Hernandez is above him, but with his record in Spain it's not strange that they would want him for cover up front in my opinion. He would score a shit load in that team.

Both Negredo and Soldado came through the Real Madrid youth / B system.

Chicarito is an odd one. Benzema has just gone through a long goal drought, so perhaps they think they create so many chances that they can incorporate an out and out poacher like Chicarito as back up / bench option.
