Moutinho went on to have the best season of his career in 2012/2013, but his season at Monaco may have been sub par.

Doubt he'll fit into our wage structure now though. But he'd fill the Modric shaped hole in our midfield ability wise.

Soldado is a quality striker and losing him, on top of Sigurdsson and Holtby, with no replacement lined up, would be an absolute hammer blow to our squad depth. There is no way we can sell him without a top class forward ready to come in.

If we are actually getting Welbeck we could sell him and when Adebayor goes to the ACN we would likely be fine with Welbeck and Kane for that period of time.

Not a chance does that strikeforce give us what we require....Goals! Welbeck is overrated and terribly inconsistent, and Kane is not a player that will lead the line for any premier league team, let alone ours. Ade showed yesterday that he is not good enough and at his age needs to be gone. our strikeforce, even with Soldado we don't look like we have goals in us.

Welbeck scored at a good clip when played up top last season for United. For me, his goal scoring rate out wide is the bigger problem with this deal.

Well he scored twice on first day of the season, then drew a blank until December. Did score 6 in 6 between December and Jan, but that was it apart from one goal in March.
Personally I find those stats uninspiring.

Besides which, we should be looking to ADD to our forward line, not just replacing one out with one in.
