Coached situations need to improve, none of our fullbacks step out properly to stop crosses.
No other teams have blown Saints away this season so the point is decent enough and they are pretty well drilled although they showed us a fair bit of respect by sitting back at times.
My main criticism of our team is how we lack any alertness, we rarely look live to any attack or anticipate danger. Lots of work in the summer for Poch, lots.

Bentaleb is maturing nicely. Best CM on the park.

Great young player.Never gives up and can only get better. We need too get him too sign that contract.Mason is up and coming very fast aswell but maybe we need too sign a more experience player this summer too play with them.

As an aside did i spot the angry imp that was Allardyces number 2 at Bolton on Southampton's touchline near the full time whistle?

Disappointed with Davies's defending but apart from that I thought 2-2 was a fair result. Impressed with Bentaleb's work rate as he was everywhere he needed to be to stifle their attacks and IMHO played better than Schneiderlin who has been a popular target for the last year.
Mene is an absolute disgrace of a player and characterises what most of us hate in today's game, going over at the most feeble of touches. Sad that the ref didn't give him at least one yellow for his ridiculous theatrics.

Lamela, Eriksen, and Chadli are our best attack behind Kane. What we really need to do this summer is give these three serious competition. Townsend and the like aren't anywhere near effective enough when it comes to end product to really be viable alternatives creatively, so we need at least 2 attacking players, on top of Pritchard coming back. Pace and shooting ability should be the top criteria, as well as the ability to press constantly. Ayew, Konoplyanka, Yarmolenko, Thauvin.. Lots of players whose wages and transfer fees we can comfortably afford if we don't dawdle around being austere. The same thing goes for CB. Alderweireld, Moreno, Howedes.. Lots of quality that will instantly upgrade the back line.

So no more excuses. All supporters should expect signings to address our needs.
I think are squad is really good. I am not a fan of the double pivot in cm we should have a designated dm to give are defense better protection thats why I think Poch should go because his too stubborn and predictable with the players we have I would play 4141 like the Arse.

I saw it as completely opposite. Fazio in particular made several important tackles, headers and blocks. I find myself trying to like Mason because I feel like I want him to become the player I think he could be, but he really doesn't do himself favors with stupid pass after stupid pass and piss poor defending. I thought Bentaleb was superb today though, I think we have a really good player on our hands.

Yep Fazio was the only defender actually defending, Dier was good going forward Vertonghen was Vertonghen poor, Davies had a nightmare.

Mason slipped and in fairness to him lots of players were slipping it was also brought to our attention by the commentary nevertheless he slipped but still managed to get the ball to Davies who messed it all up.

Pls point out his other mistakes.

Hugo: "It was great to be back. The medical staff have done a great job. It's a great to get back on the pitch."

I thought overall we were second best today and probably slightly lucky to come away with a point

We clearly have a better, more talented set of individuals but they're far more of a unit and they work much harder. Their pressing high up the field was exceptional all day

From our point of view -

Davies was complete shit
Bentaleb was outstanding
Lamela looked good first half, great movement but looked weak and slow still...faded somewhat second half too
Kane had no service and was never really in the game
Fazio played well but is beaten too easily in the air sometimes and looks vulnerable to pace
Chadli did very little aside from his goal but that goal came from a nice run and he showed good strength and composure to get his goal
Dier - along with Bentaleb the most impressive performance in a Spurs shirt today

Just got back from the game. Very poor game from Davies but Bentaleb was fantastic in midfield, very good and probably the only player worth mentioning really. A bit better from Lamela today, glad he got a goal but a lot of the same old from still. Not great from Chadli either but still got a goal in fairness to him.

All in all it was the same, keep the ball, play it side to side but without really knowing what to do with it. Davies and Dier are incapable of producing in an attacking sense so even when we manage to pick them out in space nothing comes from it. We are really struggling to get the ball to Kane now too which makes us even weaker up top.

A lot of problems still really but Bentaleb was definitely a plus.
You say 'Davies and Dier are incapable of producing in an attacking sense',
but didn't Dier supply the cross for the first goal and the through ball for Chadli's goal?
