I have always been interested in who is the quickest, strongest, fittest players in our squad and whole PL. I remember in pre season we had the "blip" test and a jump test from pictures on the os.

What i want to know is if somebody got sources in the club and can find out or if u guys remember who was the best at the different test Spurs have had over the years?

Would be highly appreciated :)

I bet Bale and Jenas are the two best at the bleep test in the current squad.

I reckon Palacios would've been up there when he first arrived. I reckon Defoe would do pretty well aswell, if he could be arsed with it.

Wasn't it just the non World Cup players who took it?

Didn't Adidas or someone do a similar thing on their site a few years ago? Took all the players they sponsor from the top European teams and had them go head to head?

Something in my addled, dusty brain stirred...

Bleep test has nothing to do with speed. Beckham could complete the bleep test, and he wasn't exactly rapid, its about quick recovery. I could get up to level 14 a few years back, all of a sudden you just cant run another yard.

It's a combination of speed + endurance + recovery.

Maybe some of u misunderstood me.. I know what a Blip test is.. I have run it a few times myself. I was just wondering if some of u had the results from that and other test like 40m etc?

Remember Jol one time told the media that Keane was one of the fastest over 40m..

Harry was saying the other day that our fitness needed to be looked into, as some players were fading before the end of the match, so maybe there will be some stats out sometime?

there were results of the nike trail thing. That included close control the the ball dribbiling around cones the fastest and pure running. I seem to remember that Lennon beat agbonlahor.

I remember that, didnt that stats show that Bentley was quicker than Lennon too?

I reckon....pure guess work but it would go alittle something like this:

Ive left out sandro because to be honest i've seen nothing but clips of the lad, he looks fairly quick but i cant make a fair judgment.

Over 30m

1.lennon
2.bale
3.defoe
4.jenas
5.vdv/BAE/

Over 100m

1.Bale
2.Jenas
3.lennon
4.defoe
5.bae

Pure guesswork as you never really see any of our players run 100m in a straight line. Judgeing on nothing but general speed matched with stamina and athletisism I'd go for this.]

Other players who would have fairly quick 100m times:

bassong, king, gallas, rose, palacios, hutton.
