Pure speculation on my part but the Olympic torch is going past the lane this wednesday. Usually they have a few famous faces carrying the torch near the places they're connected with. Perhaps we'll see a former Spurs player doing it?

We do know that it won't be lineker, he already did it near leicester. I thought they might get Fabrice Muamba to do it but he's doing it in Newham today

Gonna look a bit shit compared to the flames that lit up Tottenham last year.

Ledley was mentioned apparently but there are no ramps in the high road.

Freund should do it. It'd be very basic running from A to B with no-one else in the way and he can use his free arm to gee up the watching thousands, whilst shouting 'COME ON!' Ahh, I miss those days, him shouting that to the crowd and thousands responding with a massive cheer, only for the reality to kick in that we were 3-0 down with 5 minutes left.

Indeed, we sure did suck back then.
Ledley sound like a good bet, Tottenham playing legend and does lots for the local area.

I watched the one in Windsor... Possibly the most over hyped and boring thing I have seen in my life..... You literally stand there to watch, I would say, 5 seconds of a run past..... Pointless and waste of tax payers money once again!

The way these Games (inc the torch relay) are being run, it's more likely to be the Finance Director of an 'Official Olympic Sponsor' corporation.

Just got this email:
Dear Camaj
The Olympic torch relay will be in Tottenham this Wednesday 25 July and we’re looking forward to its arrival so much that we’re taking part in some special events to mark the day.
Between 1 – 5pm you can join in a whole host of exciting activities at Bruce Castle Park from football to tennis, and face painting to ‘walk a mile’.
Fans are also invited down to White Hart Lane to join us on the High Road to welcome the Olympic torch to Tottenham.
We’ve organised some special ‘passionate about Tottenham’ flags to wave as the torch passes by to make the Club’s presence felt and show how passionate we are about our community.
Please come down and join us, and collect a free flag* from the square on the High Road from 4pm on Wednesday.
The Olympic torch will be going past the Lane between 5.20 – 5.30pm so make sure you arrive in time to collect your flag and choose a position along the High Road.
See you on Wednesday!
Kind regards,
Tottenham Hotspur

Whoever came up with the idea of a torch relay must have been a right knob.

It would be a bad time to have your arm catch on fire. Imagine running around with your arm in flames and nobody helping, just stopping to take pictures.

In answer to the OP, here's the list of runners for Haringey tomorrow. Doesn't look like there will be. Gordon Banks is carrying it through Brent, though.

Yeah they publish the runners but they don't include the celeb runners in that list for some reason or another, or at least they didn't. We know that Rupert Grint from the Harry Potter films is going past Middlesex uni in Hendon and Daily Thompson is carrying it up to Alexander Palace but it sees strange that they didn't get someone related to the club to do it. At least the club are making some sort of effort, anyone going to grab a flag and make us proud?

Gordon Banks is on the full list for tomorrow's leg. Boris Becker and Chemmy Alcott are on today's list, although James Cracknell isn't, so maybe they don't have full lists up.
