Thought it would be useful to know which players are involved in international matches over the 2 week break - allows people to research tv coverage and know who Poch will be coaching in the break between games.

His international call ups have hurt him imo, rather than help him, he missed a large chunk of preseason just so he can sit on the bench in the copa america

I'm still a big believer in his ability, even if many here have written him off. Being around a squad like Argentina's is good for his confidence, in my opinion. I think he'll probably start one of these friendlies. I think it shows that Martino does rate him though that he makes that team when Argentina have so many options.

Missing preseason however has hurt him and the fact that he has been with argentina before isn't imo going to help him a lot as it has in the past. For a player who has struggled with his fitness at spurs he needed to be here for preseason imo

As sooner or later he will not make the argentina squad as there is better players knocking on the door like Vietto, Correa and etc.

The big problem though at the moment is that having played in Copa America and then taken his break afterwards he's not been fit enough to play for Spurs in the opening games.

In those circumstances Lamela should have asked to take time out from the international call up to get fit for their day job - for which they are being paid very well.

I know what my employers would be justified in saying if I turned up unfit for work (eg too tired to focus on work) giving the excuse that I'd done lots of social work (ie a good cause). And it wouldn't be well done, more like on your bike.

He was around that Argentina squad all summer and got no playing time or confidence.

England was just announced. Kane and Mason in the squad. Now Townsend.

Yedlin in the US squad for friendly's vs Peru and Brazil. Probably will emergency loan him to a championship side when he gets back, I hope.

Not liking Son's selection especially since the 2nd game is on the Thursday. Guess we won't be seeing him any time soon as Poch is too much of a pussy to put him straight in without having ample time to brain wash him into losing his directness and get accustomed to the pass sideways "philosophy"

He missed a large chunk of last season doing the same at Spurs.

Based on those fixtures, I'd be amazed if Poch includes Son or Njie in the squad for Sunderland. Arse
