Do the ressies play at bisbane road still? ive recently moved back into the area might go and check them out.

Yea, the next game is the end of the month. It is a fiver to get in and worth going along. Decent seats in the main covered stand.

I've just come back from the game, first time i've been to a reserve game and really was worth the effort to go!!

Had a strong team out today, clearly giving the reintroduced-to-squad-number players a game in front of Harry (who was there, if this hasn't been mentioned...). Also, I heard Ghaly got back from Egypt only two days ago...

Most awesome part was getting to chat to (and sit next to) Alex Olsen who was in the stands (groin injury). Really cool guy to talk to, and as soon as I sat down and said ("Hi Alex") his hand was straight out ready to shake my own.

His English was perfect and was surprisingly opinionated and ready to answer the many thousands of questions I threw at him (during the game). Having watched some documentary in Norwegian a while ago about his move from his snowy hometown to Tottenham, I already knew a little about him, but he really was a friendly chat. I really do hope that he makes it, at Spurs in particular, as he seems to be a truely down to earth guy.

He said that he was living with Yuri Berchiche, which seems pretty cool, however, he didn't give a vibe that there was great communication within the club (this might be just not to tell me things I shouldn't know) but hopefully things will be more open now that Harry is running things!

Anyway, towards the game....

Cesar - Seemed pretty comfortable, tipped one over near the end and had one "Gomes" moment where he came out pretty far, but looked generally good.

Stalteri - Had a poor "pass back moment" in the first half handing them the ball in a good position, and struggled to keep up with the winger Kyle Reid in the second but made some powerful forward runs. Overall, disappointing for an international captain!

Dervitte - Looked good. Have heard that he hasnt been as impressive since his return from injury, but certainly looked strong and as if he'd used the "time off" to good use in the gym. Brought the ball out well and looked a good captian

Rocha - Really impressed. Looked like he really wanted to be involved, looked commanding and made challenges. From his shouting his English seems really good and I think he'll definitely be around the first team, probably the sort of player Harry could work well with.

Gilberto - Average. Was expecting more from him, but didn't do much wrong.

Daniels - Two goals. Couldn't really figure out what position he was playing (not sure anyone could tbh), but mainly played in a LM-Bale sort of way. First goal from memory was a sort of tap in, whereas second was a more impressive run and strike.

Ghaly - Looked lively. Put in a few crunching tackles and looked like he was trying to impress. Good performance.

Mahogma - Didn't realise he was a DM (he plays wide aswell), but looked very energetic. Even towards the end of the game I was surprised how much running he was putting in. If he has the positional awareness/tackling looks like he could make it.

Prince - Impressive. Ended up playing forward some of the time, had some near misses with long shots and was certainly trying to impress. Put in some tackles and you could he was passionate, "even" about a reserve game.

Kyle FA - Made some really pacey runs down the flank and looked good whenever he had the ball. Think when he plays in a better formation he'll look better.

Taarabt - Ah... Mr Disco. Frustrating... as always! According to Mr Olsen he has the skill of Ronaldo, I can see this may be the case but still the boy needs to learn how to pass and be part of the team. He did spray the ball about a bit, but he " is one for the Hollywood pass and dribbling down "one-way streets".

It was probably fitting, that as we left the game he was chatting up the receptionist... as he probably had been the whole second half! He reminds me of that kid at school, that always wants the ball and to take every free kick, wherever it may be.

Subs: Looked good, Hutton had a turn of pace.

Overall, well worth a trip to the stiffs, if you can make it. Relaxed atmosphere and really takes you "back" to grass roots, where you can hear every shout, kick and tackle.

Unfortunately we didn't seem to have a proper game plan today with no "proper" strikers on the field. Good run around for all and im sure we will be seeing some old faces back in the first team squad. Oh and hopefully Mr Olsen will be gracing WHL sometime soon, haven't seen him play but a lovely chap!

Thanks mate, can you elaborate on Maghoma? I saw him against Pompey and he looked very good. He was playing almost box to box in that one.

According to the Grauniad Stats Centre, Ghaly, Rocha and Salty have mysteriously acquired squad numbers (15, 13 and 33). Can anyone throw any light on this?

Yea that was last week, KPB and Taarabt too.

Could it be that Arry & Clive wanted to give the all of the forgotten ones a game and sacrificed our usual strikers to fit them in?

No, it is simply that with Barcham, Dawkins and Pekhart all on loan, and Olsen injured, we do not have any reserve strikers.

Maghoma at DM is a new one on me. It looks like we began the game with six attacking midfielders and no DMs or strikers!

Always rated Kyel Reid - I am surprised he has not made the breakthrough for the Hammers.

Many thanks to Spursyido1 for the match report. Glad you enjoyed it. I used to love going to reserve games, but Brisbane Road is too much of schlep for me.

Presumably Clive was in charge? Were any of our new coaches in evidence?

What time do these games usually kick-off? Might try and get to a few if it's only a fiver!
