Giovani Lo Celso from Rosario Central

19 yr old central attacking midfielder. Contrary to what happens most of the times, he's better than what the video shows. His off the ball movement, creativity and intelligence is off the chart

There's a rumour right now about a 15m bid from PSG

I don't think Poch likes Rosario.

Anyone seen Ryan Sweeney play? Another Dons player (albeit AFC Wimblen"don" and not the "real" Don)... and if he would turn out to be just "half" the player Spurs most recent Dons signing was I'd be content...

Can we just go all out for Julian Brandt, only 19, can play across the middle 3 or up front and will go to the very top in my opinion.

Watched the second half of Sao Paulo vs Santos yesterday since we have been linked with their on loan striker Jonathan Calleri. Obviously not enough time to make any conclusive judgements, but he was really poor on the night. Heavy first touch, held on to the ball too long, unimaginative movement, but decent work ethic and hassling of defenders. Reminded me a tad bit of Soldaldo, as at a first glance he doesn't have the pace, strength or dribbling skill to create any sort of space. I'd like to watch more of him since this was only a first impression, and only it was only one bad 45.

But while I was at the old hipster scouting thing, I watched the Argentina league match between Velez Sarsfield vs Quilmes. And for a match that literally took place on a rugby pitch it was highly entertaining, full of good technically, combative and fastpaced action. Sarsfield dominated play for the most part, creating tons of chances that they couldn't fully take advantage, and a shaky defense cost them as Quilmes countered and pressed really well at times. There where plenty of good young attacking players on both sides, but there where about 4-5 players that really stood out to me. * Warning these players maybe totally shit, but i'd like to think one or two could find there way and find success in Europe. and @Ossie85 probably knows a lot more then me about them

Braian Mansilla- '97- 5'11- CF 1G 22 Min/ despite coming on as a sub he was the most impressive player on display scored a great counter attacking goal, showing off his pace. he showed off his strength and energy as he at times pressed all of the Sarsfield back four at once. And despite being very isolated he kept hold of the ball really well making a lot of clever little passes and runs off the ball. don't know how clinical or smart he is in and around the box as he spent most of his time defending from the front. he looks a physically specimen with great athleticism, strong build and a fair amount of pace.

Jorge Correa- '93-5'8-AM 1G 77 Min a left footer with a think lower body, very hard to knock of the ball, played a lot of good one touch with Yamil Asad, thou he tried to force things at times, like trying to dribble through the whole defense and got caught holding onto the ball for too long at times. scored a cracking volley from the edge of the box, wasn't shy at all of having a shot.

Yamil Asad- '94-5'11-AM 1A 90 Min played most of the match as an inverted winger on the left, often while in possession he and Correa would follow each other around the pitch creating mismatches and passing options ect. played quite a good killer balls and showed tremendous decision making on his assist for Correa's goal.

Max Romero- '99-5-11-CF 59 Min taken off early after getting injured. Was suppose to be heading to Arsenal last summer, but a pretty serious back injury stopped the transfer. Struggled to find space and compete physically against much old and much more physical centerbacks, but worked really hard for the side and won the ball back for his side quite a few times. Definitely looks like a special football in the way moves across the pitch, his first touch and his compete level.

Hope u enjoy my post and thanks for reading it if you made this far and even if you didn't ;)

Velez is on a very complicated financial situation so they've had to resort to the young players at the club. That's why the first team is now full of them, but the team is not doing well. Most of them are there out of necessity rather than for being good. The only ones of the 4 you posted that I know are Correa and Asad and I think they are average. Maxi Romero is someone I heard of, but I never watched him play and he's too young to tell.
The 2 young ones that standout from Velez are Delgadillo and Toledo. They are both fast tricky wingers. Delgadillo left footed and Toledo right footed. I want River to sign both of them :D

I keep seeing that Wallace link, and also see Arsenal linked as well and I can't see how either can get him.

As far as I know Wallace wouldn't qualify for a work permit.

He's on loan from Chelsea apparently...

This move acquiring Rob Mackenzie in early 2015, poached from his role as Leicester's head of technical scouting, went under the radar (at least for me) - perhaps at the time I saw from Leicester and the reaction was "ok we know what we're doing in this department so this is probably a step fowards, but he's from Leicester so meh...". In hindsight this could prove a very good move by us.
